I hope this is as legendary as Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
Check out the shot at 2:15 he just jumped into his stage character so well it's unbelievable

Rocketman (2019) A musical fantasy about the fantastical
human story of Elton John's breakthrough years.

I want the bass to hit low, not the actors.
If James Gunn said this he would have been sacked via twitter.

SpareChange said the Vudu audio track of this one is amongst the best of the MCU bunch released recently but the graph says something else.

I didn't read any alt-right commentary. By the way, the alt-right shouldn't even be classified as "right-wing." They're broken-wing and they ain't gonna fly with the Republican Party. Those vultures are bottom-feeding outliers who are not tolerated by the right.

Now, let's get back to bass-ics...

Funny thing i am about to graph the DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 for Captain Marvel (2019)
buy my eyes are so heavy and i am weak right now from lack of sleep that I'll just jump on to tomorrow.
Most major studios are already giving us Dolby Vision on their UHD disc but Disney is still holding it out for
digital releases only. this is just beyond madness in 2019. this film has some seriously great HDR
opportunists so i hope the UHD delivers them properly with it's standard HDR10.

I watched the streaming HDR, Atmos audio version and it truly bangs hard with my 6db boost on my sub and the quality was rather great. (some may not need that boost) so it's a possibility. but as usual I'll wait to see what the UHD looks and sounds like before i make any final decision. i feel more comfortable doing so and don't want any surprises.

I watched Fury 4K last night again after about almost a year or so. Everyone knows that movie really brings some intense heavy bass! But I found the ricochet off the tanks during their battle to really be one of my fav sound effects of the movie. The way it just whistles away is awesome!

I have a 7.2.4 setup and loved the overhead activity as well, especially when they're getting up on the tank and you're on the inside.

I've watched it twice before and it never made me feel like it was too loud until last night. It's like TIH for me, where I have to go back 2-3db from my normal movie mv.

I know this movie has a lot of fans and for great reasons!

Just noticed Earth To Echo is not on this thread nor the other one. I'm surprised a movie that's been mentioned so many times hasn't been checked yet. The movie alone without BEQ is amazing, I can only imagine what else could be found hiding inside?!

Yup! It's def one of the longer bass scenes as well, similar to the bomb in RP1. Would love to have a 4K Atmos/DTS:X version of the movie tho! So much potential for overhead activity!

It was graphed on one of the threads when it came out. I remember seeing it. Maybe it was at Data-Bass?

Just found these posts for Winter Soldier and Civil War. looks like both are solid UHD's in the ULF category but lost in the shuffle on this thread due to Endgame and Aquaman discussions. Impressive graphs considering how other recent Disney titles have been for bass as of late.

No wonder it sounds so good. From 33-45hz it's almost -10. And from 45hz down to 20hz it stays above -20. This movie looks like it would be perfect for BEQ.

Just...request it .

I've seen this movie a couple of times at my local Walmart, but only with DD 5.1. Not feeling that, might have to import it...but then again, I don't know if I'll like the movie...so maybe I should have bought the cheap DD 5.1 to find out, lol.

I'm not BEQ capable , no minidsp or nada yet. So not in position to request....yet.

Honestly I think you would like it. Take the bass away and it's still a good movie. It's like those childhood classics that are always going to be good. Not necessarily in the same league but something like The Sandlot. It's a great, short (85min before credits), funny, and suspenseful ride. The bass and sound design is the icing on the cake.

Hello all,
FYI, I watched the VUDU Dolby Atmos/Vision version of Captain Marvel last night. I have to say for a Disney super hero movie the bass was fairly strong. Much better than past mixes. Over all very cool Atmos effects as well.

Thank you. You shouldn't have to do that, but that's where we are in this day and age.
The herd mentality, click-bait "news" sites, and a preponderance of trolls (and their unwitting enablers) just looking to stir **** up.

Now, that being said, Captain Marvel wasn't a good movie. It wasn't even a good Marvel movie IMO, and that's a pretty low bar for quality so whether it has good bass or not doesn't matter.
