Thought of you today @Sekosche and the rest of the Boss folks. Watched World War Z and was enjoying it quite a bit. Need to get an inuke 3000 DSP soon and tame those woofers.

Get both in UHD THE HDR is worth it. The colors are more vivid in UHD for Deepwater Horizon, which I bought on Vudu.

Lucy has fantastic bass when the drugs start kicking in.

are lucky enough to have an OLED. Even though the Blu-Ray is tempting at that price is tempting, the UHD disc is far superior.
I do have an OLED so I'll wait to get Lucy in 4K. Thanks to you and everyone for the advice.

Love that movie, and the audio is fun with great dynamics. I usually have to ride the MV while watching it. Movie is the type of silly fun stuff that I love. I think you'll have a great time watching it...and Lily James and the girls (wink, wink)

Fantastic 4K UHD video done from a new 4K DI. Also upgrade to Atmos that one is a no brainer and a double dip worthy if you own the Blu Ray

Sounded abysmal in the Cinema too. Looked dull as well and looks like the UHD mirrors the theatrical presentation.

What's puzzling is the production costs for these type of films. You would expect something lavish but it looks like the VFX team worked hard to hide many special effects.

Also the movie didn't make enough money to say it made a good profit.

I am pretty sure there is a graph for the Blu-ray already. Don’t know why you would desire a new graph of the same mix?

Agree, that’s the first full bandwidth Disney movie I’ve seen in a while. The overall bass track looks a little low like most their mixes, but just add +5MV or more and should have decent bass. I haven’t watched it yet, but the graph is solid, especially for Disney.

FWIW, I had a friend actually walk out during “Us” in theaters, because he was so put off by the first half’s storyline and other plot shenanigans. To me, this movie is definitely a step backwards from the most excellent Get Out for Peele, but I still think he’s an new incredible director with a great visual eye and flare for the absurdity/insanity of life that really gets under our skin. Figured it wouldn’t have much bass.

Its a nice well deserved position to be in Hop after the last few months for you. Rewatching many of your favorite hits from your library with a completely new sound signature is just awesome!!. Please tell me you hit close to single digits on your MV for Overloard If so, that must have been one he%$ of a ride.

Really nothing new of interest for me lately so finally had the opportunity to dial up the system today and rewatched Spiderman Into The Spider-Verse at -6MV,,,, it was the fix i needed.

Enjoy rewatching your collection Hop!!! Cheers!!!

The graphs says one thing, but the bass in this movie IME is just quite anemic. If you read the UHD reviews for the movie, about every one of them says the same thing too.

I liked this post, but why can't "Love" this post? I feel the exact same way but sooo many people do not. My wife went bonkers when the first Beauty and the Beast trailer hit. We are younger so that movie was 100% part of our youth...well more hers than mine, but she came home singing and just giddy after watching it. Not long after my buddy went to see Aladdin and said he actually enjoyed it, so they are doing something right for the majority of folks I guess. I feel like it's beating a dead horse but whatever, it really makes no difference to me as musicals (and breaking out in random song) in general and even the originals make me want to go full Picasso.

EDIT: They both said the remakes had some bass, but since they aren't qualified to really say that, I will wait to see what someone here says.

I liked Get Out enough that its rewatchable once in a while and for me much better than the first half of US. US, just like BR2049 may be the only two movies in my collection that i will never watch to the end. No offence to those who love BR2049 as i'm sure its a decent flick, but way to slow to take three hours of it.
