I think they both have their place for sure. The race scene is a little of everything. Great atmos effect, video, and variation of bass effects. The bomb scene is just visceral intensity from start to finish.

Very true the race scene is my go to scene. like your saying it's checks all the boxes. Plus when Kong is jumping on the bridge it feels like the room is getting picked up and slammed lol. I really like the battle scenes in alita to I thought they where very well done.

Yep. As it stands right now if you were to tell me I had one disc to show a little of everything my system could do, and not get bored to death of the story line, A:BA would be my go-to hands down.

Looks like you have a great list Brandon.

If you have time, I also really like the 50 cal in The Accountant but I hesitate to recommend it if he hasn't seen the movie because the scene is a huge spoiler obviously.

I recently watched the full movie for the 3rd time and it gets better every time, and I already loved it the first time I watched it.

The psychological thriller writing is far above average. Because of those things it makes it a superior movie for me.
Both I and T.J. Miller's career (that started with Cloverfield) disagree with you there.

I have the UHD. I'm willing to bet it looks exactly like the blu ray, and like you say it doesn't have Atmos.

Glad to see I'm not alone in loving the movie. I think my favorite scene is when he kills the bad guy right in front of the farm couple, forgetting they are there as he starts to walk off. He catches himself and waves good-bye to them like nothing happened.

Lol! No!
I would never hear the end of it from the wife! Only this time I would agree with her 100% which means even further trouble! Not to mention seeing I'm a man I get to take the brunt of the blame for another's mess up!

In short these guys must never have that much control so we can avoid, prevent and or delay judgement day

Did you ever go back and test the new sub to see if you are running at reference or just "10-15dB" hotter than your last sub? If you just plugged and played the odds are you are running your sub well past reference. Or, do you just not need the kind of negativity in your life right now?

I set up the new sub and ran Audyssey, when I first set it up. I am running it approx. 10db hot. So about 7db hotter than my old sub. However the new one sounds better hotter and not as boomy as my PB did when I ran it 6 or more db hot, that's why I backed the PB down. I would hope I wouldn't have run the V1811 at reference MV to notice a difference between it and the PB-2000, otherwise why bother?

A little late, but one I see missing is The Greatest Showman. Just the Blu-Ray menu loop is enough bass fun. My "theater" or whatever is below my kitchen. I rarely change my MV and popped the disc it at my standard listening levels. As that went in I ran upstairs to nuke a bag of popcorn and get some soda for the viewing. It completely took me by surprise shaking my kitchen floor, vibrating my stove, and rattling my dishes. Some good strong bass in that intro. Movie is pretty good as well.
