Mark has given lots of helpful info and tips to me when I knew nothing. He has been a great asset to the forum and industry. I hope everything goes well for him and takes care of everybody.

Building the room, speakers, and subs.

No doubt that Mark is a great guy and is a master in the audio game. When he adds to a discussion in the threads we all learn a little more about this hobby so I really hope everything gets straightened out and everyone gets taken care of (and its starting to sound like they are). That way the Seaton brand can return to where it deserves to be... amongst the top echelon of reliable sub manufacturers. IMO to be in the top group you need both great products and solid customer service. So here's to hoping all these ugly matters get straightened out and we see the return of Seaton.

Subwoofers: PSA TV36 iPal X2 ...Speakers: PSA MTM-210T L/R - PSA MTM-210C Center- PSA MT110SR's Surrounds - PSA MT110's Rear - RSL C34E Atmos... Motion Actuators: Crowson Shadow 8 - X2
Video: Samsung UN65KS9000 4K SUHD - Oppo UDP-203... AVR:Denon X4400... Gaming: XBOX ONE S

I paid via Paypal as well, but it was prior to the e-commerce going live on seatonsound.net

Sorry to go OT here, but looking for suggestion.

I have dual SubM and my white lab “Daisy” (pic below)

Regularly rubs against / lays next to the subs and the fabric grill cloth is very difficult to keep dog fur free. I take the grills and vacuum them pretty regularly but still some discoloration in fabric from the dog.

Has anyone made a metal mesh cover for theirs or maybe better fabric suggestion?

Every company has customer service issues. My wife’s Fitbit died 6 months ago, they sent a refurbished Fitbit and it died 3 months ago. They sent another refurbished replacement and are claiming it was delivered. It was not. A battle we are fighting right now. If there are 50 people who had this experience, and we all stood picketing outside Best Buy every day, people would look, say “oh, how sad” and go buy their new FitBit anyway. It’s because the way we process risk (different dollar values, yes—but the money doesn’t matter to me as much as me wanting them to right the wrong). Looking at the global ratio of happy customers vs. unhappy customers, I’m still 100% confident with Seaton Subwoofers and will be purchasing four more subs soon. Now, if you look at the international customer satisfaction ratio, it may speak to a relatively higher inherent risk (again, what is the ratio if happy customers vs. unhappy?)

I say all that to say, people would keep buying FitBits because they probably won’t experience what my wife is experiencing. People will (and should) keep buying Seaton Subs (especially those who have heard them) because the likelihood of their customer service experience being as bad as the worst experiences noted here is very small.

Just offering my take....not offering any excuses or justifications. Just saying I’m still confident in the company and in Mark, because every company has some pretty terrible customer service stories....unavoidable in a world where business have so many logistical interdependencies.

Hmmm—that’s a tough one. Maybe wire mesh stretched rightly over a frame (painted black)? Not sure how to secure it while retaining any aesthetic value. A local welder could probably pull it off. The subs I had before I started using Seaton (SVS) had a really neat metal mesh grill that curved so there was space in front of the actual woofers. If you show a welder that, they could probably recreate that type of grip for your subs.

Quick question...

How come the SubMersive HP+ weights quite a bit less than the Rythmik Audio G25HP? 120 lbs (or 130 lbs shipping weight) vs. 170 lbs (or 185 lbs shipping weight excluding pallet). Both have roughly the same dimensions and driver configuration.

The Rythmik amp weighs a lot more. That is where the bulk of the difference is.

Fantastic service from Mark today. Had the 1000 watt amp in my Submersive go out. Called him once, he answered and gave a nice price for a 2400 watt amp upgrade. Had a great conversation and gave him my credit card number. Took less than 15 minutes.

Good news indeed. Though I'd personally suggest "caveat emptor" to any potential new customers...both here but especially abroad.

This is what happened when my calibrator put on his audio test disc post audio calibration! This glass globe fell from fan light to the table and another one cracked in place. This never happened when I had my dual Svs cyclinder subs in place. The Submersive HP+ is one helluva subwoofer!

Hi Carl,

Hopefully yes!!!! Mark has been in constant contact with me for the last few months, updating me with what's happening, which has been great.
He emailed me last week to say the cabinet was ready to ship out, and he had the new HPi amps in stock, I paid for the amp on Friday so hopefully they get sent out Monday

Thanks for checking in

Jamie

Keep trying mate

Like I said, Mark has been keeping me updated with an email every 2 weeks or so to let me know where we were with the cabinet, hopefully things are getting caught up again in the workshop and Mark can dedicate more time to answering emails again

The frustrating part has been that there is no communication about the delay - as to what is keeping him from answering emails - especially when the funds have been taken and product has not been delivered.

Things happen - at least let people know what’s going on - keep them informed - from this thread I can conclude that he has been communicating with others especially when “new” business and money are coming his way.

Hope that there is another explanation to all this!!

Definitely try calling Mark. I just placed an order for four more custom 12” deep F18’s to place behind my fabric walls via phone last week, but Mark picked up before he knew it was a customer ready to order. We also ended up having a full conversation about amplification.

Yeah. It’s unfortunate. I just can’t get my head around it. Speaking to some customers and not to others and sitting on people’s money for months.
