THe Monoliths seem good but probably too dam big for my room

I own 2 HSU VTF-15H MK2, I ordered the Monolith 15" a month ago and it's in a different league than the VTF-15H MK2. The Bass is so much tighter and definitely moves alot more air and pressurizes the room significantly more than the HSU. I was ecstatic with just 1 Monolith 15" and would choose that over the 2 HSU VTF-15H MK2... The 15% off ebay coupon made me order a second Monolith 15" today..... These Monolith 15" subs are special. The HSU VTF-15H MK2 's are being kicked out of the theater and split up to the computer room and master bedroom.

These Monolith definitely seem the real deal. I think only one person hasn't like theirs, and I don't recall anyone complaining about defects or amps dying. Fortunately, the brand I went with has been just as good, at least for me.

I Got my monolith 15" the other day, and it rocks. However, i have noticed a very small issue. Sometimes, when it kicks on with the auto-on function, it will make a higher pitched pop noise before playing content. It doesn't always do this. Has anyone else run into this issue?

That doesn't sound right. I would double check all your connections and make sure everything is tight.

I have not noticed that at all on my 15". Might be an actual issue.

This thing is a MONSTER.

My wife said it was so big that she was going to use it as a vase table!!!!!!

Yeah. It's odd. My old JBL sub never did this and i'm using the same cables. The sub sounds just fine, despite this weird pop noise when it turns on. Perhaps it's dirty power? I have it plugged into the wall with a wall surge protector.

Try it without the surge protector. I have a subwoofer that was less than a year old and the plate amp died. I didn't have any issues until I used a surge protector. Replaced the amp got rid of the surge protector and had been fine since

You mean a monolith sub where the amp died? Or just a part of the amp died? And were you having the same symptoms as me?

It might be your receiver. I had a sub that would make a pop noise when it woke up from standby. It was running through a Pioneer receiver. When I switched it to an Onkyo receiver it stopped.

I like my dual 12's. Love the opening of Defenders on Nexflix. The bass is so deep and clean.

Mine do this as well, I assumed it was normal since both of them do it. They sound fine once they switch on so I never thought it was anything to be worried about. Neither of mine are plugged into surge protection.

both of mine running form a yamaha 3060. never noticed any pop when turning on, they just come alive when the movie starts. If they do I never noticed it- will try to listen more carefully next time I boot them up. I used to hear a mild thump from my old mirage sub- but nothing alarming

Ok, it sounds like it's probably my receiver. It's not a very loud pop and the sub works phenomenally well.

Mine never do either, when using my AVP, a Marantz AV7702mkII.
The only time, they would make loud pop sound, is I turn Off the power, on the sub,and turn it back On.
Never on Auto.

Back in stock! I have waited so long lol. Glad I held out. Ordered the 12. I bought all new speakers like 4 months ago and it has been hell waiting for a sub. I almost ordered every other sub on the first page here 20 times.

glad to be back on here. Been years

Mine has JUST started making the pop about 75% of the time when it's coming on (set to auto) since last week. It was fine for the first few months.

Because it's been good enough and the sub is in a corner not near the receiver. I'd have to run the 12v signal wire up the wall, into the attic, and down the other wall. The auto on has been good enough that it's hasn't been an issue.

Does the SVS isolation feet screws into the monoliths feet? Contemplating about returning my pb-1000 for this.

The bolt diameter is slightly different, so you'll probably have to buy 4 new screws/bolts for the Monolith.

AUTO seems to work good for me. I certainly don't want to go behind the sub and turn on manually every time.
