Just got the M12 today. Looks like a beast. Got it downstairs, unboxed and in the basement. I will set it up tomorrow. One nice the is that the little spikes on the bottom are made of rubber. I thought they would be metal from a description I read somewhere. If anyone wants specific pics, just ask.

Sweet! Not sure what adhesive Monoprice uses for the serial number sticker, but I see yours also doesn't stick very well. I had to tape mine on. I hate the little rubber cone-nubs, so I strapped on SVS Isolation feet on both my Monolith 12's. Let us know how she sounds when you cut her loose. Get some rugs for that reflective floor so it doesn't sound like the Bat-cave.

That room isn’t the theater. Carpet in there.

Audioholics has their review of the 10 and 12 inch Monoliths.

Spoiler alert: They did well.

Very nice. In playing with mine a little I find it to be a good sub so far. No movies just music in my great room that is 20x50. Filled the room with bass rather nicely.

Have had my dual M15's since around mid March and the theater room is getting very close.. My father is a retired custom home builder and coming to visit for 10+ days so I am hoping with his help we can make a final push and get the room done. I am hoping to have carpet down in 2 weeks..

I have tried not to even visit this thread, because I have been trying hard to get my basement finished. I had a drywall issue and it took me over a month once I fired the guy to find another contractor to not only finish the work but correct the first ones mistakes.

I can't wait to post in this thread and I have a big stack of UHD Blu-Ray's waiting to be watched/heard.

No surprise, as these Monolith subs are the real deal. I still find it remarkable that the Monolith 10 uses the same high quality driver as it's big brothers, just a smaller version. Other companies like SVS and HSU go to totally different, cheaper drivers for their smaller subs.

Here in my area we have a local delivery option that I use when ordering cables. I ordered the Monolith 10 through Ebay and it was delivered by UPS.

Just FYI, the call I was to receive in 1-2 business days from Thursday last week has yet to happen. I am not holding my breath either. It’s a shame that they seem to have a good product on their hands that can compete with the ID market but fall way short on service.

I can't believe that Audioholics only gave the Monolith 10" and 12" 3 stars for their "fit and finish" and "Ergonomiscs and Usability". The Monolith 15" I auditioned looked as good as any pvc wrapped subs I have seen. The knobs also present enough but not overwhelming options to suit every listening out there.

Just in case anyone is wondering, when I was comparing the Monolith 15" with my JTR Cap 1400, I had the Monolith 15" gain turned all the way up and at Extended mode, in order to listen to it at my normal MV. This means the Monolith 15" was not at its best SQ and distortion wise. Still the Monolith 15" exhibited almost no chuffing and more than held its own.

Those who prefer the sound signature of sealed subs will be very pleased with the Monolith subs.

Speakers: L/C/R: JTR Noesis 212HT. Surrounds: Jamo C103, KEF Q100, Polk Audio RTiA3.
Subwoofer: JTR Captivator 4000ULF.
AVR: Denon AVR-X4400H. TV: Samsung UN75NU8000FXZA.

FS: Jamo C103, KEF Q100 and Polk RTiA3

Do you think the Monolith 15" would compare very favorably to the Cap 1400 in a 2000 cu ft sealed room at reference volume?

Expecting reference level (115dB) sitting 11ft from a 15" sub is a lot, wouldn't you think?

I also found the 3 star ratings for F&F and E&U rather unsubstantiated. These are some of the best designed and assembled subs I've seen. The vinyl wrap is as good as any wrap I've seen, if not better. Everything on all three of my Monolith subs is put together perfectly.

Here's a comparison of the stock feet and the SVS soundpath isolation feet on the Monolith 12. Just like the SVS cone shaped nubs, these are ridiculously small for such a large subs that requires 6 feet.

I just ordered a 15" THX sub. What size screws did you need to buy to attach the SVS Soundpath feet? Thanks! I would assume it would be the same with the 15" model.

Listen up, studios! Dolby Atmos Lite™ print-outs must stop!!

Gawdammit that's tough, after waiting for these things to go on sale again for the longest, & having since aquired my Ultimax 18, MDF panels, & the last of my hardware this week, when they finally do again.

Anyone familiar with the Monolith 15 & DIY, what kind of power level amplifier would it take to match the M15's output, particularly below 30hz with a UM18 in a 24x24x48 ported box?

Also anyone know what the M15's are tuned at exactly, with both ports open?

Timing!
