WOW!

I watched OBLIVION UHD Atmos tonight with BEQ. Really love this movie and though it was awsome. Nice picture, good Atmos, and great LFE/ULF.

Then after, i put in the bluray, loaded the BEQ for its DTS-HD 7.1 track and played some of the coolest scenes again.

HOLY MOLY what a difference in the LFE/ ULF !! It was like my subs wasn’t on in the UHD version! I thought that when both used BEQ it would be equalized, but the difference was staggering !

Totally insane that they can botch such a cool track when it is supposed to be a upgrade!!!!

Next time i will see the bluray for sure!

Unfortunately, the strong effect at the beginning clips the signal if I push this any further.

Escape Room BEQ is great! Thank you to the BEQ master craftsman @aron7awol . I'd recommend it to anybody who hasn't seen it. It's a short fun little thriller. It should still be available at a nearby Redbox.

I thought it was great too! Surprisingly so! And the movie was pretty crazy and very good we thought.

I also forgot to post here that I watched The Wandering Earth and while the bass wasn't quite as good as the peak spectrum appeared, it was still solid and we thought the movie was actually better than we expected.

Thanks for the reminder and the warning, @DesertDog and I apologize to everyone else as my head hasn't been in the right space lately. I will definitely leave BEQ to the professionals from here on out.

I changed my BEQ out with Aron's as I didn't realize he'd already done it. I definitely NEVER redo BEQs for a movie if I know its already been done. (Hopefully, you can paste his image over my image in your post as well, so it gets erased from being shown. I deleted it from Imgur.com so it eventually should disappear anyway, unless AVS image cache keeps it stored.)

Sorry, guys... I'm usually up on my game, but this week has been the absolute craziest I've had at my current company. I took Friday off and I'm seriously contemplating whether to return next week! Yeah... it's THAT bad!!!

I need to BEQ this, as I’m watching the 3rd episode now, and it has some great tension inducing bass throughout, not super deep all the time but still very solid even without BEQ. I bet it’s pretty intense with some BEQ love.

We watched Cold Pursuit tonight. There wasn't much bass, but the movie was quite good.

25-35Hz at -10dBFS would be bonkers. Need to pick this one up for sure, post BEQ looks good to me. I think any peaks approaching -10 is definitely too hot, but that’s me. Is it to avoid clipping?

Phase 1

So got the Mini-DSP HD, UMIK-1, WI-DG.

And following Pio's most excellent instructions in post 4, was able to successfully get everything set up - including wirelessly loading BEQ settings to the Mini-DSP from the repo provided profiles.

Stoked.

Then it's down to the HT to hook it up and I realize that while the Crowsons are hooked up via rca plugs from the rear sub out, the front sub out long run to the subs is low impedance/XLR...

Gratification delayed.

In the meantime, while I lose my low impedance run, a low to high impedance "adapter" looks like the quickest solution.

Phase 2

Was also hoping to resolve any nulls with the UMIK-1 and REW, but it's looking to be too deep. Unless I find a Cliff Notes, or REW for Dummies or maybe a professional sub calibrator (do these people exist?) we may just have to live without our own house curves.

Most importantly, a big shout out to @PioManiac and @aron7awol . This thread is amazing.
