it is calculated using https://docs.scipy.org/doc/scipy/ref...nal.welch.html and the median is calculated via numpy.median (https://github.com/scipy/scipy/blob/...ectral.py#L592)

I don't know whether it is useful yet, was trying to get away from the way the mean is so strongly influenced by the peak at times.

The particular spectrum view you're using is designed to highlight the peaks so I think this would not be a good way to see the behavior on average, try the contoured view to get a fuller picture. I suspect that stripping away the big hits will make it look more like that first 30mins which does show signifiicant content in the 10-15Hz range.

BassEQ Resident Evil (2002) TrueHD 5.1

This one was a bit tricky, but with the negative PEQs I was able to unlock a good amount of single-digit ULF content to add some nice weight to everything and add some TR to the mix.

It looks a little different. I guess the first 30 minutes account for the median being the way it is.

@Stereodude I believe https://github.com/3ll3d00d/beqdesig...g/0.7.3-beta.9 fixes the disappearing curves issue, it also should produce some more output when launching it so it would be helpful if you can try out the beqdesigner.exe and see if it blows up in the same way again, if so pls post whatever it produces to a new issue in github so I can try to work out why it happens on some machines.

@aron7awol this also contains the updated tick spacing (to account for the median)

It fails to start and the output at start is exactly the same. Do you still want me to post it as a new issue to github?

The small one starts and seems to fix the disappearing curves issue.

I thought La Llorona was getting an ATMOS track? It's a Warner release, and the BD back cover states so.

Edit: I really liked this movie. It got poor reviews so I expected a disaster, but...I actually enjoyed it more than The Nun. It's not the Horror movie of the year, but it's very watchable.

Spoiler!
Been having some random issues with BEQ where I lose 4-6db, but last night everything worked as it's supposed to without losing anything.

I watched John Wick 2 and omg that was insane!!!! The weight BEQ added to that movie was a whole new experience!! Even my roommate who I've turned into a basshead was like "I actually think that might be too much" lol. She watched John Wick 1 last week non-beq and with the loss of those 4-6 db and said it was underwhelming. But last night she said it was so much she felt like throwing up, so I had to back down on it for her. But for me it was an amazing experience.

John Wick 2 starts to slowly drop after about 45hz so BEQ really made a HUGE difference! It felt like I had added more subwoofage to my system!

Finally giving this a spin while waiting on my new sub to dry and after the first few minutes of opening bass I figured it surely had some BEQ. I usually look on the thread first to check and incorrectly tried searching for it as one word. Glad I double checked, because what a substantial difference with BEQ and great movie too.

BassEQ The Transporter (2002) DTS-HD MA 5.1

Tons of noise down low, but I was still able to grab a good amount of 20-30Hz content that should improve things a ton.

If you're a big fan of this movie, import the BD from Japan with the Unrated cut and a TrueHD 5.1 track that has a lot more bandwidth.

Unrated TrueHD 5.1:

Quick question for you guys. I'm running dual SVS PB-3000s which I feed via an Onkyo TX-RZ3100 into a DSpeaker Antimode 2.0 Dual Core into the subs. The Onkyo did a rubbish job of EQ'ing in my difficult room, hence the need for the Antimode. It gives the dual subs a really flat response and I've added a slight house curve to accentuate the lower end a little. Could I run a miniDSP 2x4HD with this setup as I'd love to jump on this BEQ train and improve the bass in my life? If so where would it fit in the chain? Between the receiver and Antimode or between the Antimode and subs?

Thanks for any and all help,

Southy

Even my roommate who I've turned into a basshead was like "I actually think that might be too much" lol. She watched John Wick 1 last week non-beq and with the loss of those 4-6 db and said it was underwhelming. But last night she said it was so much she felt like throwing up, so I had to back down on it for her. But for me it was an amazing experience.

John Wick 2 starts to slowly drop after about 45hz so BEQ really made a HUGE difference! It felt like I had added more subwoofage to my system!
which scene made them sick? which scene did you think had the craziest ulf?
