My recommendation is to start with the 10Hz 6dB/oct LPF & rolloff comp, then keep increasing level until you're getting the kind of piercing impact you want on the hard hitting scenes. Then play with some of the added LS to see if you like having a little more low end. But I feel that approach is best because overall level with that higher end piercing stuff is so key to get dialed in (and it varies so much by system), then it's easy to tune the low end from there.

Thanks for the reply,
I'll give it a shot and start there. Although, I am using your roll off comp filter in the mDSP along with a LPF of 40hz 6db/oct you'd previously posted.
When you say, Increase the levels, Are you talking gain or LPF frequency ?

I don't want to clutter this thread with this, So i'll take any further questions over to the TR thread

Thanks

I don't know if it's possible since it was only released on DVD, but can you look at LEXX season 1? It's a set with 4 DVD movies (each about 90 minutes), not from the TV series. The DVD's were released in 2008 "starring" Brian Downey, Eva Habermann, and Michael McManus. According to my AVR is in DTS Neural X.

WOW!

The scene 28 mins into 1917 is one of the best, most realistic sounding/feeling experiences I've ever had on my system! It is a simply incredible blend of Atmos usage with bass/TR that goes perfectly together and just takes the scene to a whole other level! Amazing!!!

Hey guys just a quick one. When you need to do a MV adjustment do you adjust the whole track volume or just the subs? Sometimes I find the track too loud (not the subs) if I turn the whole track up.

In those cases I would recommend you adjust MV as much as is desirable and then make up the rest with sub adjustment.
