The best would be combining the BD DTS LFE track with the UHD Atmos track

Yeah, last time i watched Oblivion UHD version, i went back and watched the BD version afterwards: the difference is actually STAGGERING on the ULF track alone!

And Neural:X did a phenomenal job on the upmixing, so BD version it is from now on

Yeah I watched it in 4k and was totally underwhelmed by the bass, I figured my memory had tricked me!

Then realized the bass was neutered and vowed to never watch the 4k version again.

Well, remuxing the UHD video and BD audio was simple enough, as I did today.

But remuxing the channels requires losing objects, so I'm not sure that would actually be any better. The "holy grail" solution I can think of would involve 2 processors But the DTS-HD track was amazing with the upmixer anyway, so not really worth the trouble to me.

Just goes to show how much i know, LOL.

Good point about objects, i was thinking about one of these threads that recently had some remuxed BD tracks with the LFE track from the DVD, like WOTW and i think MAC and maybe som others. But yeah, if you lose objects, you might as well watch the BD, or do as you did

@aron7awol , I've looked and haven't found any confirmation as to whether or not the LOTR EE BEQ's are okay to use with the regular DTS-HD MA versions, so if you can confirm this I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Darrell

Wind Effect

Has anyone noticed wind effect from subs? I've just a pair of svs pb2ks. A few recent films I've had certain scenes generates actual strong breeze I can feel on my bare shins. For example in Freaks, with BEQ, the scenes where someone "appears" from nowhere.

Is it a particular Freq/waveform arrangement that does it?

Wow! The Invisible Man was ridiculous.....some of the best bass and sound design I've ever heard from a DD+ track.....with BEQ of course....regardless, can't wait for the 4k disc. The bass was flexing the room with ease. The movie was awesome also. Highly Recommended.

Yes, that was me. And that was only possible because the Blu-ray's audio is DTS-HD MA, since I actually have the DTS-HD Master Audio Suite application for the PC. Unfortunately, I don't have any software related to Dolby Atmos.

These were originally done by DesertDog weren't they? Should really be clarified or corrected whether were from the Bluray as they state DTS-ES 6.1 which were the DVD audio tracks.. In the OP they say DTSMA but in the actual post they say DTS-ES..

Also look they could do with an Aron update going by the graph above for the theatrical release ??

Also look they could do with an Aron update going by the graph above for the theatrical release ??

I double checked my rips and they are listed as DTS-ES 6.1 in BEQd. Unfortunately I don't have the original discs anymore to check what they're listed as on it. They were in the box of blu-rays that my ex walked off with. I'm going to keep the xml files for them for now since they're what I have but I'll probably dump them this summer when the UHD gets released. I can't wait for the new release.

BTW, the theatrical version of them should never be watched since we have the extended editions. If you're going to watch them, you have to do it properly.

I've been waiting for the new releases as well, and unfortunately I never picked up the EE versions. (I know...D-Rail doing the unheard of again. ) I promise, I am trying to be a better BEQ soldier though. I even have a copy of Wall-E now!
