SVS SB-2000 Subwoofer with SoundPath Wireless Adapter Giveaway

The SVS SB-2000 is a sealed subwoofer that unleashes effortless deep bass with extension down to 17Hz.  It produces room-energizing power while maintaining speed for crisp transients and pinpoint accuracy, all while maintaining an audiophile-quality level of refinement.

Massive sonic impact is what you can expect from the SB-2000’s 12-inch high-excursion driver and 500-watt RMS, 1,100 peak watt Sledge amplifier. The overall performance of the SB-2000 subwoofer system is all the more impressive considering its compact cabinet that measures only 15 inches on all sides. Here's your chance to win one!

In a review of the SVS 2000 Series subwoofers, AVS Forum proclaimed, “Plays clean and low, it covers the entire low-frequency range at fully satisfying levels—it really does dig deep. The 2000s earn my unreserved recommendation."

The SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter adds wireless audio connectivity to subwoofers, speakers, amplifiers and other compatible components by transmitting a uncompressed, full-range audio signal up to 65' at CD-quality (16-bit/48KHz), with ultra-low latency. Going wireless opens up placement options for a subwoofer, so you can maximize in-room performance plus reduce cable clutter, all without sacrificing sound quality.

The giveaway runs from 10 am (EST) on October 1, 2018 through through 4 pm (EST) October 31, 2018 and will end with the at random selection and announcement of a winner on October 31, 2018.

Want a chance to win a SVS SB-2000 subwoofer? We just need some basic info and you are in the drawing so enter now!

To read up on all the rules and regulations for this SVS SB-2000 subwoofer giveaway, follow this link.

I've never tried it, I suppose I should. I can't find any reviews on Google but I'd think the main questions would be "What's the range and how reliable is it?"

Recently bought two of these babies and they are serious overachievers! Especially considering the price! The winner will be lucky to own one! (but they'll need to throw up the cash for a second unit to be in audio nirvana!)

If it uses the congested 2.4ghz spectrum, it's important to test for potential interference with other wireless devices. Even a little interference can make it sufficiently distracting to render it borderline unusable.

While it is a very good sub, I would never trust a wireless product, to be use for such a nice piece of equipment.

Personally, I am a firm believer of real wires when it come to Audio equipment's, and would never trust a wireless device, other than last resort. Way too many chances of signals loss potential. Got it all the time, on my computer and other devices. Not good when it come time, to listen to music or movies.

i have the white piano gloss one (limited edtion)
that came out last yr...bought it to match my kef ls50w also in white.
stunning combo.

my apt could do with another one, however as it's a large rectangle 12 x 28 deep
(living room leads into open kitchen, no wall in between).
i was considering upgrading to just one sb4000 but i think dual sb 2000 would be better for me.
just wish these puppies also had that smartphone app the 4000 and 16 both have.
so fingers crossed that i win this puppy.

*edit update: just read rules....another draw in which us canadians are not included, despite having
vendors here in Canada selling SVS products and that includes returns and warrany support.

https://www.avsforum.com/forum/306-c...-giveaway.html
and hell, the last part of the 'rules' show that the sponsor is even located here in Toronto Ontario.
the survey to enter the draw even asks if we live in Canada....
wtf!

I recently moved and upgraded my movie room to a much more ideal location. I have two of them as part of my new configuration, one for the sub woofer and one handling left and right surround rear channels feeding through an old Dynaco Stereo 120 amp I had sitting around. They work really well. My only complaint is that the wire is too short. On my SVS cylinder sub, it sort of just hangs down on the side. I’ve had to rotate the sub so that the back is almost facing my control electronics so it can get that line of sight connection since it won’t reach to the top or bottom of the sub. Nevertheless, they really helped solve the problem of running wires to the back wall, which would have required traversing two doorways and an opening to another room. My space was already finished with a concrete floor and “complicated” ceiling.

BTW, this is with two whole house WiFi sources less than about 10 feet from them. Remember you want line-of-sight and that one adapter will handle two channels of information. It was a piece of cake to set them up, basically just plug them in. They were pre-paired at the factory and it only took about 5 seconds tops for each pair to connect. Oh, and the little blue indicator lights are a bit bright if you’re looking directly into them.

I'm in! SVS makes great subs and this wireless model would be perfect for the back of my room.

BTW, I know the winner will be notified by email but where will it be posted here on AVS?

Thanks,
Ish

I bought one recently and it seems to work wonderfully - its in my bedroom system, paired w/ a PB-2000....as soon as a signal is sent, the light turns on the 2000. And there doesn't seem to be any delay, though I haven't done any critical testing
