Raise subwoofer off ground 24"?

I want to buy some solid sturdy foam to make a platform to raise my subwoofer off the ground.

What kind of foam would I be looking for?

Receiver : Pioneer Elite SC-LX701
Main & Center Speakers : Phase Technology PC 3.5, & Surrounds
Amplifiers : Emotiva UPA-1 Monoblocks, SVS SB3000 Subwoofer
MonsterPower HTS5100, Harmony Elite Remote
TV & Sources: Sony 75” 900F, Bluesound Node 2, Xbox One & Apple TV4K

Sturdy? My guess is you'd want to look at something like EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) foam. Personally, if I were building a 24"-high platform for a subwoofer, I'd make it out of wood.

Why? Aesthetics, or something else?

Sort of. I just can't think of anything that wouldn't stand out or look like its bring attention to the sub. I just want it to do its job.

I'm not opposed to something else, I just haven't seen or can't think of anything. I've looked at the ISOacoustic sub stand but its only a few inches off the ground.

Are you planning in using the space beneath the sub? If so, you need a pretty solid platform... If not, I'd suggest picking up some concrete blocks (cinder blocks) from a hardware store and some cheap cloth or sheet in whatever color you choose. Set up the blocks (two high = 16", or stand on end to get 16" high from just four blocks) space appropriately to support the sub, then drape the cloth over them and pull tight for a clean look. Stick the sub on them, done.

I was thinking that if I could find some solid foam, that would also help isolate the sub.

I have my subwoofer off the ground by around 12 inches or so using a modular rack system by VTI. You could stack a couple of them to reach 24 inches and have some usable shelves underneath and a clean modern look.

Not sure how big and heavy your sub is, but mine is a Rythmik G25HP which isn’t exactly tiny.
