RSL Speedwoofer VS HSU VTF-1MK3

Both the RSL Speedwoofer and HSU VTF-1MK3 are priced at $399.

Can anyone share your thoughts on these two subs?

Many thanks...

The Monolith 10 also frequently goes on sale for $400 or under and would be a strong contender in that range.

Here's a head to head review of the RSL vs the Monolith.

both are very good subs. if it makes a difference the RSL price includes shipping and return shipping if not happy. with the hsu sub you have to add shipping cost and if it doesn't work out for you you'll have to pay to ship it back. if unsure, the RSL is the safer bet to try first. Some like the HSU better for home theater and the RSL is very accurate for music.

My sister in law has the first version of that HSU sub and it is excellent.

With shipping it is $455, not $399 so the safest bet is to order the RSL first and return it for free if it doesn't quite live up to your expectations.

Here's a comparison of the two in terms of size etc.

350watts =15w16h17d= 40 lbs 10" [30hz] $399 RSL SPEEDWOOFER 10S, (extension from Sound & Vision review)

250watts =15w19h17d= 42 lbs 10" [25hz] $455 HSU VTF 1 MK3 (extension from Audioholics review)
