Klipsch RB-81 II Bookshelves

klipsch KSB 1.1 Surrounds

Klipsch KSC C1 Center

Martin Logan Dynamo 300 sub

Yamaha V379 receiver

Saw these 2 on craigslist within walking distance of home, so figured that was a good enough excuse to upgrade my sub.

My room is small, but the ML 300 doesn't do much. I ended up moving it to my bedroom 2.0 set up. Sounds a lot better there.

I've been running 5.0 for a while, and though the RB -81's are bassy, they don't get low enough to scratch my itch for bass.

Of the 2 options above, what would be a better buy?

I know the Velodyne will get a lot lower since it's a 15, but dual subs are usually better.....usually. I've been scratching my head for 2 days. Help me decide?

I wouldn’t feel too comfortable getting the Velodyne. That model is 20 yrs old. Dual ML Dynamo 700’s seem pretty solid for $165.

I've owned Velodynes since 1986 and loved them but with your choices, the MLs are the way to go.
