Monolith 12 THX Ultra versus SVS 20-39PC-Plus

I am interested in taking advantage of the Amazon deal on the Monolith 12. My current sub is a SVS 20-39PC-Plus (I think, I have had it for a long time......) and I am wondering if the Monolith would be an upgrade. My eventual goal would be to add a second Monolith at some point (I need to build out my HT room first) but for the time being it would replace the SVS.

Google says about the SVS:
- 12.3" Plus driver
- 525W (RMS/continuous) amp
- 20-100Hz +/-3dB
- variable 16Hz, 20Hz or 25Hz tuning

IMO, the Monolith is a lateral move, not an upgrade.

The PC+ 20-39 was already a pretty stout 12" driver. You'd have to step up to a 15" to make the upgrade sufficiently noticeable...or join us in the 18" club.
