If you have and didn’t get much below 20hz, that sound very strange, as mine work like crazy down to 10hz! Below 10hz, not so much, i agree, but above 10hz IT IS ON!! And 10 to 20hz is a VERY important area for TR, the same as it is for subs: there is a BIG difference between a sub that goes to 20hz, and one that goes down to 10hz.

Both me and @SBuger agree that the BK’s can’t be touched for their 12-30hz violence, and that the Crowson have the advantage below 10hz, and we have tested several versions of BOSS, even 18" versions, and we both ended up adding back our other TR devices than just the BOSS.

I have to agree with @SBuger , i don’t see why you have to knock down so hard on everything NOT BOSS! If people want to try new things, or have other preferences, that is fine.
I understand that you love the BOSS, and i do too, but there is room for more and other ideas, it is not the only boss in town. Otherwise i would have sold all the rest of my TR gear, and lived happily ever after with just the BOSS

And VS: come on man, it is a FREE software that you can use on your PHONE!, how awsome is that! Up and running in no time And it CAN be a tremendous helpful tool, and for noobies it can be a awsome way to learn how the TR you feel looks like and in what area it is. VS is fun !
If you don’t feel it is good enough for your need, then ok, but that doesn’t mean others can’t find it useful

I am sure d00d’s qvibe will be/is awsome, but i don’t know if i have the "computer-brain" to build it, LOL.

I think i will wait until @SBuger builds one, and start nagging me to do the same
Sorry for the confusion I may have created.....when I said 20Hz band, I was referring to the 10-20Hz octave band (all the frequencies in that octave or doubled frequency band). I probably should have been more clear about that which is how it's referred to in the trade. I'm in agreement....the BK's wheelhouse is in that 20 Hz band and not below 10 Hz.

I think signal shaping TR may be causing some confusion. To craft the best shape, you first have to know what the original shape looks like, not only the TR device but also what it's attached to and how the 2 effect each other, and if other TR devices are present, how those are combining. Once that shape is characterized, then it can start to be sculpted....that's basically what BEQ is today (characterizing the shape of each movie and allowing us to sculpt it like we want it). Hopefully that can be possible with TR BEQ in the near future using qvibe and with a bonus feature of time alignment.

I didn't mean to take a jab at yours or Shelby's setups, but I can see how that was perceived....my apologies. You both have taken the brute force approach while I'm trying to shine a light on another approach that will hopefully be available soon. Either approach is cool and that's what makes our hobby so fun....always more than one way to achieve our goals and each of us has different approaches.

Same hardware?
Not that I'm going to be ready any time soon.
Michael

Did you really need to quote that entire post in your reply?

Ok, thanks. I ask because the video in the BEQ thread has several traces. Is that multiple sensors, or multiple measurements ?

It shows 3 axes, usually I look at the sum though. multiple sensors are supported as well

Ahh, of course, that makes sense. Sound like that could be a cool tool for this purpose. Thanks you for putting in the effort
