honestly..when the 24 was going all by itself...was plenty loud enough even without his other subs

+1

Get the HS-24. It'll pump the ULF better than anything. It's amazing how fast and accurate they are with how huge they are. I still marvel when watching it move during big, low bass movements like the start of EoT.

^^^ yup that’s what I keep thinking as well, thanks for the responses guys!! It'll happen at some point

I can only imagine what that thing will feel like sitting that close behind, from mid bass power all the way down to super deep ULF. Heck, the 18’s are no slouch and can bring it pretty good, but that monster placed the same way has got to bring on the hurt (the good hurt )!!

Well if you can make them fit, they do have more power in the ULF department. They are just so big and need about 9-12" clearance available. You may try them cant-levered if you really want them/one but just cant justify raising your seating that much to accommodate it. Nalleh really likes his cantilevered. Well, he has the SLAPS and multiple 12"s for BOSS duty, but he tried and really liked the 18 too.

Well, I found another rabbit hole that is just asking for some more money! :-) Currently I have Dayton Aura Pro transducers in my 7 seats and love the response I get from those. But now after seeing all you guys are doing, I'm realizing those are toys! I think I "need" to start looking at building a BOSS platform for each of my seats. Question I have, after looking at the Hideaway Theater thread, with individual seats like I have, what would be the best way to do it? Would I want to try and make one large platform for each row, or just focus on building a mini platform for each seat individually? Or is it really trial and error?

Here's my space and seats for reference. Thanks for the great ideas!!

^^^ @luv2fly3 - Awesome HT!!!!

I would think either would be good with 2 per seat. All connected might give you more power. You may take a look at @tvuong ’s BOSS with 2 per seat. IIRC, he has separate seats butted up to each other as well (maybe Im thinking of someone else's seats though) and then all connected with the BOSS platform. I can’t seem to find his post though about it over in the Hideaway BOSS thread. Its buried deep somewhere in there guess.

Thanks for the kind words. I think I found his posts. The posts about his design, if it's the same one you're referring to, show a row of theater seats, but they all have shared arms, where as mine are all totally individual seats. So if I built something to support them as a group, I'd have to figure out a way to probably attach them together. I'll go look at a few more threads and see if I can get some additional ideas. If I do this, I'll have lots of questions I'm sure! Appreciate the insight.

Yeah, my Boss build post is linked on post 29 of Trhought's thread. I would flip those seats over and look at the bottom before deciding on which option works best. Beautiful theater you got there @luv2fly3 .

Yeah Ill have a decision to make to go with the neo 21" like you or the next size up with it or the SI 24" monster that coolrda or DesertDog went with when it comes time.
I'm just catching up on this thread and saw your posts. I agree with the other guys, go with the 24". Just imagine that beast pounding away providing all the ULF to your setup. Add in the TR and you'll be in heaven.

I'm sure, but also I'm not sure if one can get enough headroom when it comes to single digit bass
