Correct, SVS is an American company. And more likely due to the shipping cost, and other fees.

First, they are ship to various Canadian distributers. Then those distributer, account for difference. For the shipping cost, money exchange and other fees. And when selling those subs, and most are also free of charge for shipping been another added cost. And therefore, would cost a distributer money or SVS having extra charge for this distributer. While been Canadian myself, I understand it is simple Economic 101. Since most of my gears came from the US, and know a lot about those extra cost.

That being said, it would be the right thing to do to include Canada in these contests.

Sorry that Canadians aren't included. I look up to Canada for having free health care and to have enough brains not to get involved in endless wars. We should follow your example. Almost became a Canadian when I got my draft notice. Sorry for going a little off topic.

But damn, pick me !!!

Yep, we're blessed up here.

An d to continue being off-topic; when I was in college, we had 3 Vietnam conscientious objectors taking courses with me. Three of the finest men I ever met. One of them ran for Member of Parliament after he was granted Citizenship. Unfortunately; he ran as a New Democrat (left of centre party) in a Conservative Riding (similar to your Congressional Districts), so he was never elected. He would have made a great Member of Parliament. You should have come north. We are a very welcoming country, though we are also affected by some of the right wing rhetoric coming from the States. Hopefully that changes soon.

Canada !! Please invade us and straighten our butts out. Our flag would look cool with 50 Maple Leafs on it.

Oops, off topic again. ✌️😊

Well...let's get this thread back on topic then, shall we? Pretty please??

Whomever it is that wins this (x-ing fingers ) should feel pretty blessed as I've heard nothing good things about them. I think these would go nicely in a 2.1 setup for music, or perhaps a couple of them in a small room for HT use.

Good luck to all of the entrants,

Darrell

Until they change number 8 in the rules and regulations, I am not bothering trying for any of these "free" contests. I'd rather not sell my soul until the end of time to some unknown entities on the internet for a small chance to win something.

It does suck for all of us outside the US, but, SVS has distribution in Australia, Europe, Scandinavia, Canada and so on. If they include Canada, they'll have to include every other country which could complicate things.

Well, I got contacted a couple of days ago by someone from VericalScope notifying me that I'd won this contest. Nothing yet as to when i can expect my prize.

Funny thing is I came awfully close on pulling the trigger on one of the SVS sweet Black Friday deals.

Looking forward to getting this beast into my dedicated home theater.

Many thanks to the kind folks at AVS, SVS & VerticalScope for this super Holiday surprise.

I'll definitely post my thoughts, when I've received the unit and integrated it into my existing theater set-up.
