How many subwoofers do I need and which ones? SVS Deal

I'm looking to take advantage of the current SVS SB12-ND and PB12-ND deals and not sure which ones and how many I need? My living room is 17x12 which is open to a 10x11 dining room with 8ft ceilings. Approx 2,500 cubic ft of space bewtween the two rooms. My listening is about 65%music / 35%HT. Can you guys suggest which subs I should buy and how many?

What's your budget? Is that a one-time shot, or can you buy one of something now and spend the same later on for another one?

What are your expectations for bass? Do you want to fill out the bottom end for music and/or enjoy strong, deep (sub-20Hz) bass and/or feel "chest slam"?

Without knowing the answers and based strictly on the subs you mentioned, I'll say go with a pair of PB12-NSD.

Budget is upto $1K. I'd like it to be a one time shot and not have to worry about bass later on.

As far as expectations, I'm looking for best of both worlds really. Tight bass for music and chest pounding for movies when I need it.

I'm also thinking 2 PB12-NSD's the more I think about it

2 PB12 NSD’s would probably be best.

Leave it at 8 ohms and call it a day :)

Would I be better off spending $1K on one ported sub that's bigger and more powerful than the current SVS sale offerings?
