Which Subwoofer Cable Should I Use?

I am going to setup a miniDSP for my 4 subwoofers. So I need another long cable for one of my rear subwoofers bc they are currently split off of one cable. I usually use Monoprice or Blue Jeans but amazon is showing delivery dates like a month out. So I ordered one from PartsExpress along with the minidsp. It’s an Audtek 25 ft rca cable. I’m sure it’s fine but I remembered that I already have a spool of quad shielded rg6, and I can get some compression connectors from the store. The cable will be run in my soffit and it’s a pain in the ass to access so I’m not looking to do it a second time. There is some high voltage wires in there also for recessed lights and for the projector outlet. So I’m just curious if anyone has an opinion on if one is a safer bet than the other or if I should just use whatever is easiest.

I'm not an expert, but I've had great success with the coaxial cable, especially in wall since it's usually rated for that with the shielding. So that's always my preference when I can do it for runs in wall. Also, when I'm taking the time to pull wires, I always tack on an extra string/cord for future use. I've learned it's helpful for that future wire pull to the same or nearby location.

Good luck.

I think you just answered your own question

I just went through a similar quest. From my reading the only time you really need RG6 is when you are running it near power lines.
Otherwise the most important issue for RCA is the quality of the connector as long as the cable is of reasonable quality itself.

Sounds like the way I will go. Im not too confident in the connectors I just bought but I can always get better ones and swap them in later on.

Thanks!
