Question Need a woof that can handle this

I have all the R5 series speakers from RBH (rbhsound at /discontinued_impression.php) in my theater. The subwoofer is the Klipsch Sub 8 (from the Theater 500).

So my issue is the sub cannot handle youtube watch?v=Q6Ik94T99Ag
I need something that can eat this thing alive, but of course cost is an issue, I am not rich over here. I am in no way loyal to any brand, so anything is game, and I am fine with no name brands that deliver. If anyone cares about that kind of thing, the house colors are mostly white accents, but I will take anything I can get that does the job well and does not kill my bank.

Thanks in advance guys!!

If it means anything, I have a 13" mojo sub in the garage I was given for a uber car build for my 3000 GT Vr4 which never happened... but I doubt that is the right kind we need here.... that said I know nothing so maybe it is and there is a nice easy kit to make this work on the pretty for home audio?

Now are you primary music/music videos, or some home theater movies as well,,,, 2.1 set up? Size of room,,,, concrete floor/floating floor,, how loud do you like to listen?

Best $500 range single subs,,, some are,,,, Monolith 10",,, SVS PB1000,, a bit less the Speedwoofer 10" these are all ported, so depending on room the sealed versions could also work with Monolith and SVS. Now to really step up the HSU 15" would be at your max budget. If music only,,,, a pair of Monolith 10"s or Speedwoofer 10"s would be a huge upgrade from you Klipsch and be within you max budget.

Edit
Rythmik has the L12 in "white" for under $600,,, but its sealed so depends on room and bass expectations

-Marantz SR-8012
-Yamaha BD-A1060
-Funk 21.0LX Master/Slave combo 4800 watts RMS/9600watts (peak)-
-Chane A-2.4 L/C/R
-Chane A-1.4 side/rear surrounds.

21.4x17' for the room. Carpeted.... for now... I like to listen when drunk like I am drunk... but I ALWAYS expect the bass to not be ruined or faded. I am not spoiled (forgive the adjective) t oknow the difference for anything really nice... but I can heard the difference in most tenor and baritone...I want to feel the boom but not hear that nasty gross hollow bass sound.

There's a do-it-yourself forum here for that kind of thing. https://www.avsforum.com/forum/155-diy-speakers-subs/ There are "flat packs" for building subs for outfits like DIY Sound Group and Parts Express, but I'm not sure that 13" is an avaialble size. You can also buy plate amps, or use a pro Class D amp (Behringer iNuke, Crown). It all comes down to your skills, patience, and budget. I've never built a flat pack. Doesn't look difficult, but it'd require an investment in gluing clamps. There might alos be a spousal acceptance problem, if you're no better at finishing the boxes than I would be.

On the commercial side, for a room sized like that one, maybe a Hsu Research VTF-3 Mk5 ($895 shipped, if you can't pick up from Anaheim) or a VTF-15H Mk2 ($1072 shipped). A pair of either would be better for headbangers.

In that size room even if carpet is on a floating floor i'd look at ported,,,, as mentioned in the last post, if you want a nice potent sub to handle what it sounds like you want to handle,,, get either of the HSU's mentioned^. Also this will give you a better upgrade path (if) you decide to add a second later.

Honestly a single Monolith 10 will be worlds better than that 8" Klipsch,,,,, but in my experience,, it gets very costly if you get the bass bug and upgrade marginally, so imo the HSU should shock you from what you are used too and get you there on the first try. Be warned,,,,, its not a small sub.

It is as good as you will find for $500. Now if you went to $600 that might be a different story.

I agree for $500 its one of the best you can get. However, if I were in your shoes, I would pony up the extra $100 for the Hsu VTF2.5. It is around +4 dB over most of the bandwidth, which is approaching double the output for only $100. Yes, you can always say "but for $xx you can have x more" at every price level, but this is a very big difference. From here you need to add another $300 for another substantial jump to the VTF3.5.

This might also put adding a 2nd within reach someday.
