JBL Subwoofer compatibility

I have a JBL CS460 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker system and the Sub has developed a fault which may be not cost effective to repair. What would be option for replacing the unit? Would a JBL Northbridge E Series Home Subwoofer E150P/230 or similar be a compatible option?

Sorry if I'm asking the bleeding obvious.

should be fine. I'm assuming the current sub is plugged in via an rca cable?

My HT: 7.3.4

The sub in the JBL CS460 is a pretty generic power sub with RCA inputs. Its controls are more basic than some.

Most powered subs would be suitable replacements. Wouldn't need to be from JBL.

One set of recommendations: https://www.avsforum.com/forum/89-sp...l#post59839978

I'm not sure what to recommend for less than $300. The BIC F12 seems to be popular.

Via the RCA, yes. I'm going re-run all the cables when we reset the room.
