I am not sure if local SVS dealer will recognize the warranty because i bought this from oversea...
Will try my luck tomorrow.

This is the picture of the burnt part, i don't think i can do it on my own.

IMO SVS would be right to deny a claim since you bought a 100-120V sub for use in a 220-240V region. But it doesn't hurt to ask and, who knows, they may go "above and beyond" and replace the amp. Best of luck!

You could try PMing @Ed Mullen , he checks in on AVS regularly, and actually just posted a day or so ago.

The PB-1000 and SB-1000 subwoofers equipped with the Sledge STA-300D amp and sold within the USA are configured for 110V (as shown on the amp voltage label).

We can configure the amp for 220V at the time of the order if the customer requests it.

The amp is toast - don't bother attempting to repair it.

I'm happy to replace the amp as a courtesy if you cover shipping and any import costs. We'll classify the amp as a warranty replacement part which can sometimes help with taxes and duties. The replacement amp will be configured for 220V/50 Hz.

Just contact me at [email protected] we'll work out the details. Thanks.

I own 3 ultra bookshelves and that response was all I needed to add more svs to my home when I need it. On top of the great sound I'm getting from the Ultras already, ofcourse.

It’s too bad other businesses don’t recognize the power of good customer service!

Nice job SVS, it might be time for me to get a second PB-4000.

This is exactly why I have so much confidence in SVS as a brand. SVS actually makes people feel like valued customers and takes care of them. Service after the sale is such a huge part of the deal. So many companies could learn from SVS.

Now that is fantastic customer service!! I had two SB-4000's delivered this week, unpacked but not yet installed. This makes me feel real comfortable with my purchase. And thanks to Mike Thomas for helping me decide which model to buy.

I do have a question for with those of you with experience with these subs. They will be fed by an Anthem AVM60 most of the time, but occasionally I would like to feed them from a two channel setup with sub. Question is, can I connect both the XLR and RCA jacks, one to the AVM60 and one to the 2 channel setup? Of course, only one would be active at a time.

I'm curious to know if this can be done and if anyone has tried this.

The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price has passed.

Call Customer Service, I too run two systems with my PB 13 Ultra. Jack walked me thru adjusting the DSP for STEREO to match my front speakers in this mode. If I understood Jack correctly as long as the values are the same (cross over etc) as the AVR room correction signal all I have to do is swap my sub cables and worry about the volume :-) Post up what they say as I can can XLR too but the cost for 32 ft XLR for my room can get expensive. For now I use RG6U coax with Gold plated RCA jacks as I had to run TWO cables from my NAD pre/amp to the sub. When I tried ONE and a Y splitter like I do on my AVR my NAD pre/amp balance and 12 volt trigger started to have issues. but after reading the NAD owners manual it said run TWO cables on the variable pre out. Added second cable IN phase to PB 13U and everything works perfect now. WOW the PB 13U is SOOO musical on analog formats. You will love the two SB-4000 congrats.

And they give you the customer loyalty return of 5% and there "Bill of rights" and free shipping is unmatched in this industry this is what truly makes them an outstanding company. I just received my PC-4000 to go with my older Klipsch sub for dual. I plan on getting another PC-4000 in the future but can't swing it as of yet.

I keep hearing it's best to have both sumbs properly calibrated to achieve that right sound. I'm personally not sure how to go about that.

If anyone is close to Allen TX I'd love to pick your brain.

A good way to start would be to familiarize yourself with this "sticky" post by @mthomas47 ...a very easy and informative read that will go a long way in helping to understand subwoofer performance. And there are quite a few AVS members in the DFW, Austin, and Houston area who are active members in this thread...who I'm sure will chime in.

Maybe a little. I already have a PB4000 so this is replacing it. Or if I can find room it just might be added to it. In the later case those wife undertones will turn into over the top tones.

Oh man. Looks like it will be a late night for you. My Audyssey runs and REW sweeps are always late at night after kids are sleeping. They haven’t woken up yet. I always wonder what the neighbors think is going on though at 11pm to midnight.

In all my years, dealing with SVS,
While Ed Mullin always provided me, with lots of help

Jack is often forgotten on this thread
He also provided me with lots of help, through out the years
And, I believe to many more too.
