I want to re-encode all Blu-rays audio to a standard LEQ/LUFS. Is it 85 or 82dB?
Like the title says.
Ever since I've heard of mixers doing home remixes I've wondered if I could somehow, if not actually retaining the original dynamic range, at least recover the theatrical playback level.
Some movies have really too harsh dialogues, so, I thought, if I can extract the main track and measure its loudness, I can apply a gain to obtain a LEQ or LUFS similar to the theatrical mix. But which is it: 85 or 82?
