BD-R blank media

Are we still looking at Verbatim as the best in terms of blank discs for BD-R? Or are there other brands out there that are just as good but cheaper? How about in 50GB discs? And must they always be HTL?

Thanks!

I've been using Ritek inkjet printable 4x BD-R media. It has been excellent in my LG 14x BD burner (home built tower computer - Asus motherboard, Windows 7, Imgburn). I haven't had a single media failure, even when testing them long after the media was written.

Avoid Memorex 25GB BD-R media...10 years later they're unreadable on the same drive that burnt the disc originally. Also unreadable by a UHD Blu-ray player.

Ritek DVD+R from the same time period, no issues.

I wont use any thing but Verbatim discs. After pretty much all of the discs that I burned a few years ago using other off brands have become unreadable I don't trust anything else.

Totally agree! I've tried others and they just don't cut it.
