No problem, though my wife was wondering why I was running down the stairs holding my credit card and squealing with glee like a kid on Christmas morning...

Yeah wow that's impressive. We're not even remotely in the ball park of that deal down here in Oz. Our cheapest big chain retailer price is $US7800 .

So to make things easier to compare directly like I try to do here when discussing local pricing relative to the US, $US7500 or a $US200 discount on what we're paying here in Aus.

That is amazing.

I remember when the first LG 77" OLED came out a few years back. It was at Fry's in Las Vegas. I got in the car and drove 400 miles to take a look at the $25,000.00 beauty.

Now it's $20,500.00 cheaper with better technology.

I liked the 2016 technology better. I bought two E6 OLEDs for their amazing 3D. I would have bought the 77" but it wasn't sold in Canada that year. LG would have to add 3D back into the mix to get me to bite again.

I use and enjoy my E6 X 2 very much. They are the last of the great TVs IMO until glassless 3D TVs enter the fray.

NEW LG 77" C8 for $3,999 with LG Warranty & Free Shipping!!

NEW LG 77" OLED C8 for $3,999 with LG Warranty and Free Shipping!!

Just purchased a New LG 77" OLED C8 for $3,999 with LG Warranty and Free Shipping. I didn't think the 77C TVs would break $4k until Black Friday.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-OLED77C8...frcectupt=true

The seller is FirstClassTVs and they are selling it on eBay and they are a Top Rated Plus Seller with 100% positive feedback from 3,765 reviews and free 30 day return for defects and it includes eBay's Money Back Guarantee. I purchase my TV last Monday evening and it shipped the next day.

The webpage states it ships Flat Rate Freight and mine arrived from AM Trucking (http://www.amtrucking.com/) from the eastcoast to the westcoast in 8 days and AM Trucking brought the TV inside, unboxed it, and plugged it in to make sure it powered up (all included in the delivery service) - usually other Flat Rate Freight only delivers to the driveway or porch.

After the TV was setup I got the serial # (push LG Mute button 3 times) and went to LG's site and registered the TV with one year parts and labor no problem (https://lg.registria.com).

This is the C8 so it's a 2018 model and below is the video from Vincent of HDTVTest with a quick overview of the upgrades to the 2019 C9 model which may be the worth the extra cost and wait for some - or others can get the screaming deal on the 2018 if you don't need HDMI 2.1, Game Mode Calibration, or OLED Motion Pro - which I understand some gamers and others do.

And with eBay credit I received 6 months same as cash with zero fiance charge - so $665 for 6 months billed to my debit card (but when they run that 24 months zero fiance charge promo it's so much sweeter!)

They also have the 65" C8 for $1,799 https://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-OLED65C8...frcectupt=true

I had some email and phone communications with Sam P and he was always prompt, professional, and customer focused. So if you don't need HDMI 2.1 and want a screaming deal on the 77C8 I can highly recommend FirstClassTVs!

Your post says that this comes with the LG warranty. That said, on LG’s warranty page it specifically lists “First Class TV’s” as an unauthorized dealer and States’s “Products purchased from retailers not authorized by LG may not be eligible for warranty or these other benefits.”

I’m just genuinely curious how the warranty then works and if we know LG will honor the warranty?

I’m seriously considering this deal but I’m concerned about this.

Thanks!

Well I registered the TV on LG's site and listed FCT as the seller and uploaded a copy of my receipt from FCT to the LG site and it accepted it. Also had a issue with the TV (no fault of FCT but a known 77C8 issue) and called LG to schedule a tech to come and also told them I purchased from FCT and LG is coming out next Monday afternoon.

I'll update you on Monday evening or Tuesday morning how the warranty call goes, and if all is well then you can order if it meets your needs.

UPDATE: Tech just called and said he's in the area today and could come over this afternoon so I'll post more later...

Of course we all want the latest and greatest when spending $4k so the question is - is HDMI 2.1 worth waiting and paying for a 2019 LG 77C9 OLED TV - with a starting list price of $7,000 and most likely won't hit these 2018 C8 price levels until Black Friday?

Here's Vincent of HDTVTest input:

TL;DW - For the foreseeable future in the real world - he summarizes that only high-end gamers might be able to use 48GB bandwidth and VRR and that most everyone else will be fine with 2.0 HDMI and not really miss anything from 2.1 HDMI including e-ARC (watch the full video for the details) as he also admits he's human

Sounds like you are trying hard to convince yourself that the purchase was the right move.

I'm sure it's a great TV and one I've been looking at for awhile. But for me HDMI 2.1 is a big deal that will help keep the expensive purchase relevant for longer and to a larger audience for resale.

Enjoy the TV though. You get immediate benefit now. There's $$$ value in that.

This thread is for great deals, if you have one post it otherwise move on - nothing for you to see here. My post is balanced and it clearly states some might need/want 2.1 and others will be fine with 2.0

For those of you reading this thread and debating on getting this deal or the one posted by iMagic, LG service was just here, they are ordering a new power supply and motherboard to arrive/install next week - so no warranty issues with purchase from FCT.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I like that you’ve had no issues with the LG warranty. Not so happy you’re having such issues with the TV already. Anyhow, I bit the bullet and put in an order.

Just got back from taking the little lady to see the Super Bloom - WOW! Forgot how beautiful that part of the Inland Empire is this time of year after lots of rain and snow.

Congrats on the new TV, you're going to love it! I upgraded from the 65" OLED to the 77" OLED and it was worth it (40% bigger viewing area per Display Wars) and moved the 65" in the bedroom to replace the 55" OLED (another 40% increase in viewing area) and put the 55" OLED in the kid's room (all around everyone's happy).

I have to admit that when I got my 77" and heard the noise issue and found that a few select others on AVS had a similar issue with the power supply I was pretty bummed and was going to return the TV so I emailed FCT. Within a hour FCT called and Sam P and I had a great conversation. He really listened to my concerns and then made me an offer that was truly worthwhile for me to work with LG to fix the problem and if they couldn't then I return the TV to FCT (no charge) for a full refund or exchange.

It was this combination of excellent customer service and the great price from FCT that motivated me to post on this forum for others - and in the end my warranty issue was also helpful in letting others know that this offer comes with a real-world warranty accepted by LG.

As I mentioned to iMagic, I didn't think 77C would hit sub $4k until this Black Friday so let me know when you get your TV and how it goes - as this is a Great TV at a Great price!

Found out about Walts.com from avsforums (C9 thread) and just ordered LG C8 77" from them (was going to buy C9, but C8 price won out). They will negotiate ... got a great price (got to do your homework) ... and they are an approved LG dealer. Go to end of the below approved dealer's list. Great thread! Good luck.

Just got this for 3999 from Greentoe. Came from a authorized LG dealer so it's even better than the newegg deal! I started that deal as new thread but maybe i should have just wrote here in the comments (sorry, new to avs).

Congrats, it's a great tv at a great price! No worries about setting up a separate thread on your great deal, probably the better way to go, although as Mark had this thread originally linked on the AVS homepage it gets more traffic/views - so either way it's all good!

Thanks. Glad I did it right. I know these forums can be picky with how things are done

BTW - If anyone is interested in the LG 65b8p, my friend just grabbed one on Greentoe for $1599 . I'd still take this 77" any day, but it's huge price difference. Figured i'd mention it if anyone out there is looking.
