LG 55" OLED C8 $999 at Costco

picked up a 55C8 at Costco zip code 95340 for $999. They still had 4 left. 65C8 is $1799 and they had a stack of those.

I don't think you can search online for the 55" but perhaps you can call your local Costco to see if they have any left. Product number is 9550018.

Yeah it does not come up in a search. The .97 in the price along with the asterisk on the top right means it’s a close out item. Lucky you!!!

I see. Someone from San Diego posted they got the same set for $749 down there a few weeks back. I checked my local store 4 weeks ago and they had 8 sets. When I went back today they had 5. I was hoping the price would go lower but it never did.

Still a very good deal for a OLED. No complaints from me.

Even if the price went down they would not refund you the difference (.97)
You now have an excellent set. Enjoy.
There’s A lot of good info on C8 here.

I already have a 65 B7 OLED in my main room. This 55 is my bedroom TV. I now have two OLEDs and a plasma. LCD/LED didn't work for me.

Actually Costco WILL do price corrections within 30 days of purchase, even on the $x.97 closeout prices. I’ve done it.

So @afrogt , check the price on that display in 20, 25 days or so. Usually the .97 prices are a final markdown, but I’ve seen clothes and a few other items drop a buck or two.

Unfortunately my experience was just the opposite, I was denied years ago. I suppose it depends on who you talk to in the store. Either way it’s good to see you received the price correction.

I don't know the details of your experience, but it does NOT depend upon "who you talk to in the store," AFAIK it's a Costco policy. If someone says "no we don't have a price adjustment policy," ask for the operating manager. (I read on Reddit about new associates at busy stores that get things like this wrong, and can get their butts in a sling, or be fired.) The policy can be confirmed by calling their customer service number. Here's the policy for online orders:

https://customerservice.costco.com/a.../price%20check

Of course, if you get someone who is ignorant of the policy, and the same product is on sale at the store at an even lower price, you could bring in the old receipt (higher price), buy the TV (new lower price), wheel it around to Customer Returns, and return it with the old receipt. NO they do not say "you just bought this one you can't return it." ... If you've figured out "oh, this is why they do price adjustments," yep it's a lot less hassle than wheeling big TVs around teh store.

BTW they'll also do adjustments for things you just bought within 30 days and suddenly there's a rebate, too. Some years, the coupon/rebate gods know what I'm buying because I get price adjustments several times when there's a sale (or like this year when there was a rare "buy one, get one" offer a week after I bought one).

9550018 isn't online. Considering the 55E8 and 55C9 are roughly $1600 (Costco pricing) online, that must be a great deal. Congrats man!

Will they match a store 400 miles away? Someone posted they were on sale at a San Diego Costco for $749. They're all gone now. If I show them the receipt from that Costco would my local warehouse match it?

If not, I'll check my local Costco this weekend to see if price has been reduced further.

Ummmm ... uhhhh ... now THAT I don't know. BUT I have been able to go into a Costco and a patient manager at the front desk has helped me by looking up a product (and I had the product number) in nearby stores. One that I was looking for had been moved out of the RTP area to the Charlotte store. Too far to drive, but the system told him the price it was sold at that store ($2 or so lower than it was being sold in Durham). I looked for something else at a store and the system told the associate that it wasn't sold anywhere in the SE, nearest store was the NE.

Have I mentioned that we (an associate and I) were able to look up a fire extinguisher purchase 10 years after I'd bought them, and they took them in return because one lost pressure and they feature a 10 year warranty (which expired later that month). No kidding. They took back fire extinguishers 10 years after purchase because one lost pressure. True story. Costco uber alles.

So IF they find your TV at another store, and IF it's now a lower price, will they price adjust. I have no idea (I've heard conflicting tales about prices across regions). But you can ask! Take your receipt in with you. Have a $1.49 hot dog and soda while you're there! (fingers crossed until you post back here)

This is what was posted from a San Diego Costco last month. I think someone said .97 was a clearance price so what does the .96 mean?

I've heard that prices like .49, .79, .89 are manufacturer-mandated prices (yes, the manufacturers can set prices; I've seen Apple TV prices waver from weekday to weekend, store associates said Apple was behind it). Dunno about .96.

65C8 is $1799

55C9 is $1549

65C9 is $2449
