I am also somewhat interested and also live in Dayton Oh....

I would need to see if I have enough room for their enclosure before I say I am in, probably do 2 if it would work space wise.

Their shs-24 is another grand (msrp) however according to specs on website +5cu ft smaller enclosure, states 3cu ft sealed or ported vs 8-12 cu ft sealed or 16-20 c8 ft ported for the HS-24. I am more looking for SQ not HT sound

Shs is unlikely to come back.
There is an even crazier ferrite version now, Nick has a video talking about it on facebook. Very limited production and $3000.

You could do 4 of these 24's as NF and keep your 4x 18's across the front wall.

If you wanted to build a ported enclosure for one of these, how big would you need to go?

Still mulling this over.... I'm trying to keep things in perspective. I can only buy one of these, but would also need another amp and build an enclosure. For the same amount of money, I could do a pair of B&C 21s. Not to mention how large a 24cu/ft cabinet is.

EDIT> I guess I shouldn't forget about the 7 other 18s throughout my house I already have.

Nick said he is willing to drive up to 10 hours if I'm not mistaken. That doesn't mean you have to be within 10 hours of him. If you live further than 10 hours, find a meeting place for everyone to make the transaction. Meet up at a restaurant and have a meal while you do business. It really depends on how far the customer is willing to drive as well.

I like the way you think.

As soon as this debt is gone, the wife is on board. Just need to grind these loans down. Then we can experiment with placement.

I would likely take one, but I am near Pittsburgh, PA.
I'm close to Pittsburgh as well, peters twp. 15317. I'll likely buy 2. Maybe some people in western PA and Eastern Ohio can all get together. We already have 3 subs just between you and me. Heck his shop is only about 6.5 hours from my house.

Depending on how much everyone can drive, us Ohio and Michigan folks could probably find a place to meet up together for one big order...

Sorry, forgot to include yinz western PA folks!

They are impressive... I'm really holding myself back from buying another to have 4 total, but I honestly don't know where I would put it. It would just be sitting around and something else to move when we move in the next year or two. I will say once we do move, I will have a dedicated room and probably hit Nick up for a few more!

And not that these drivers need anymore praise... but if you are on the fence about getting one and can make this deal work out, just do it. You'll have no regrets and $900 for this driver is a steal! Grab a clone amp and you have yourself some serious sub woofage action! I haven't pushed these to their limits quite yet (I start worrying about my sheet rock falling down on my head lol) but I've unfortunately broke 2 picture frames upstairs after some spirited demos I say unfortunately because my wife would frown upon me using words like "cool" or "awesome" to describe such events...

As for the deal being sweet enough, let’s hope on that. Enough 24’s sounds like a lot.

I’m in NW Ohio just south of Toledo and am planning on buying two of these at this price. There is a group in Indiana that has a similar quantity coming to I believe the Indy area, but OH/MI would be more convenient if possible. They may need more vans!
