I got the same deal for $999. I think it’s a great deal. Good luck!

I got a shipping confirmation for the refurb so I guess they aren’t doing it. I also saw the amazon price had jumped up to $1999 from $1799 earlier so I would have missed that. My previous Denon was a refurb from the. And it’s been going strong 5 years so I’m happy.

This is good info. Some manufactures don't allow low ball online pricing from there authorized dealers. So to get the best pricing call or email the dealer. Here are some more popular dealers.

I emailed accessories4less about the upgrade offer and they gave me a coupon code to input on the new x4500h at checkout to get it for $999.99. It was quick and easy and had the response email back in 20 min. with the code. Also had shipping conformation 3 hours later on the same day of ordering. Pretty awesome service in my book!

Thanks
Anthony

Yes! I had the same experience as you. They are super fast and shipping for me was within an hour. I had a question and sent and email and was literally answered within minutes. I am very impressed with their service so far. I hope I get a good receiver. Can’t wait. I think the price is great. The lowest I’ve seen the x4500h go for is $849 at Fry’s but that was 10 months ago and I don’t even have a Fry’s close to me. I live in Ohio.

I have a fry's in Chicago but IL sales tax, city taxes and 6 hour round trip drive time eliminate any savings over the $999 deal. Overall I'm happy, just hope fed ex can get it here without destroying it.

Thanks

Yes Fedex shipping service has been subpar in my experience. I hope they don’t destroy mine as well. I am sure the retailer will take extra steps ensuring it’s packaged well. Let me know how it goes when you receive yours.

The Frys in DG is on it's last legs. I expect them to close shortly after the holidays... sad, but if you have been in ANY Fry's lately, you would see the writing is on the wall...

Wow that’s a steal! Is that a brand new unit? How did you get it that low?

yes, brand new unit. for awhile they were doing insane crazy deals with their promo codes and an EXTRA 20% off on top of things. This was about 10 months ago when there was, literally, pallets of receivers in the middle of the aisles and they were advertising the 4500 for as low as $699 at one point. Now there may be a total of 10 receivers in the entire DG store from all manufacturers. I am going to miss their insane deals....

My Denon X4500 showed up yesterday with no shipping damage. Just waiting on my new Monoprice cables to show up later this week so I can swap it out with my Denon avr-988.

Thanks

Thanks for the heads up on this! Mine arrived today. I can't wait to hook everything up!

I went ahead and ordered a refurb 4500 from A4L on Monday after not finding a better deal. Never received an option for the "New" upgrade, but am stoked. Should arrive Friday (usually LATE in the day for FedEx in my neighborhood), so anticipating a swap out on Saturday. Looking forward to the additional flexibility over my old Yamaha 7810.

Just hoping that my DirecTv remote can turn the 4500 on/off. We use the DirecTV remote due to it's simplicity for 90+% of out viewing - all we really need for the AVR is on/off & Volume. Never could find the right code for the Yamaha - only volume.

HAHAHAHA! Apparently you aren't aware that there is ZERO 4500's in ANY of the Fry's stores. They are one step away from being out of business..

I bought a couple of X3500 units when they had those insane deals with the 20% off
I sold them both and put the proceeds towards a Pioneer LX701...that was also an insane price..

My local store is pretty much bare...However Samsung and LG, television and appliance wise, still seem to be shipping them new inventory

yeah, I think the Klipsch supply is now cut off as well. Only a matter of time before Samsung and LG catch a clue..
Your store is the IN one correct? Back when they had those receiver deals did you also have PALLETS in the middle of the aisle with them? I kick myself for not buying more 4500's to help offset this money suck of a hobby, but at the time figured a 4600 was imminent..

You could be right about the Klipsch products. My Indiana store his some ...but definitely not like there was just a few months ago
I think a lot of the merchandise was returned to the vendors rather than sold to customers

They never had pallets of the AVR's at my local store...but there was always several on the shelves...Yamaha( which always seemed to be the least discounted)….Pioneer and Denon products

As I said I bought two X3500s for like $449 each( after the 20% coupon)...sold them both
Applied the proceeds towards a Pioneer LX701...which was in sane price with the extra 20% off coupon
I think my net price was about $300 for a new in box Pioneer LX701
