NAD T 758 v3 <1000

The NAD T758 V3 has been reduced to 999 everywhere (that sells it). I believe this is a new drop as I was looking yesterday and it was still normal price most places. I believe it is being couched as a $400 instant rebate and it should be good through the end of the year.

Same price at Safe and Sound, but if you're a little more daring, they have open box for 899 and Factory Refurbished for 799

This receiver also has BluOS. Lots of other features. Good customer service, too.

Would this receiver be better suited for powering speakers that list needing high current? For example the KEF LS50s say "high-current amplification from a quality power amp or integrated amplifier is recommended for best performance."

I had been thinking of a Denon AVR-3500H or maybe the Integra DRQ 2.1 but I don't really know what I need.

What would you recommend?

@ABuilder LS50's are 85db correct? They will probably need an external amp no matter what avr you decide to get.

Yes NAD is known for build quality and excellent correction with dirac live. For less, the x3500 has excellent features, full preouts and audyssey xt32, which can calibrate dual subs, unlike the 758 v3. So both are a good choice at their current sale prices. The x3500 is limited to 5.2.2 and the NAD can expand to 7.1.4

I use a T758v3 with my KEF R500/R200c/R100/R50 speakers and it drives them all louder than I could possibly tolerate. I tried to send it into protection mode by running at the same level as my older Denon, to no avail. Thankfully.

Of course you can add an amplifier later if not satisfied.
