Ruipro Fiber Optic HDMI Cables 20% off on Amazon

Amazon is currently offering a 20% off coupon off the price of Ruipro Fiber Optic HDMI cables. This brings the 12m length, for example, down to $120. I know they're very well regarded around here for people who need 4K/60hz/HDR with runs over 20 feet.

I'm seeing the same "20% off/clip coupon" that's been there for several months

You're right, didn't realize that this is something that's apparently always available. Mods feel free to delete thread.

Sorry guys to ask this but is this cable worth the $185 vs some of the other cables priced at $35-40?? Not trying to be a smart a** but seriously looking for an answer since I am in need of one. Thanks in advance.

If your hdmi cable is longer then 15-20ft, then yes. It is worth the extra money. If you're longest hdmi run is 6ft and you don't have 4K HDR, then that extra money should be spent elsewhere.

I just picked one up before seeing this thread but I am hoping it will make better use of my 35ft run to my JVC RS2000. having what I think is some handshake issues.

I think you ask a valid question. I tried a couple brands of supposedly 4K/60hz compatible non-fiber optic cables in 35' lengths and they did not work. I was well aware of the Ruipro cables, but tried a 50' BIFALE fiber optic cable that was roughly 1/3 the cost of the Ruipro and it works great. Got it at Amazon. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks, never heard of that brand but rated essentially the same as the Ruipro.

I have a 35ft and it works great. Just remember it's a directional cable so you have to hook it up in one direction per the labels on the connectors.
