I'm not sure of the details on Gen2. Version 3.02 is now supposed to work with the latest version of CM and I will verify that. From what I understand the process is Murideo is verifying and then they are having third parties verify to make certain the device is bit perfect in all modes.
I was not aware that they had a specific Gen2 available. Do you know what they changed?

Version 2.64 for the Murideo Six-G Gen1 and Version 3.02 for the Six-G Gen2 are both now on the web site for download. This firmware was verified bit perfect for all modes. Enjoy and if you find a problem let me know and i'll escalate it to their support, but it should be good now.

As far as the differences with the Gen2 hardware, I know they changed the power supply but with ver. 2.64 and Gen2 it works the same as the Gen1 unit I had. I believe there are some changes with the new 3.02 firmware and Gen2 and will report back.

We are still in the process of testing it.

But like I said before the only thing that was wrong was SDR 422 BT.2020 No other combination was affected.

Can you please explain how big the errors were when outputting YCbCr from MobileForge on an Amazon fire TV stick 4k? And were the errors bad for both grayscale and colours? Thanks.
Mobile forge is never bit perfect, so I tested with ted‘s patterns (on the oppo 203 with ycbcr bit perfect). Grayscale and colors are not bit perfect, If I remeber correct sometimes 6 digit off.

John,if you read the text for 2.64fw it states ”do not use this on 1.X units” im a gen1 user with a current 1.88fw installed,so what is the truth behind this can the 2.64 be used on 1.x or not (I did send murideo support a message regarding this)

So 1.x and 2.x is different from the Gen2 hardware. From what I understand the original 6Gs had 1.X firmware and the later ones has 2.X firmware probably due to a hardware change so when you updated you needed to load the correct version from the web site which you still need to do. So if your 6G currently has 2.x firmware you can load 2.64 if your 6G has 1.x firmware you can load 1.88 to get the latest fix that was just tested. If your 6G specifically has the Gen2 on the back label then you can load the firmware that specifically was developed for Gen2 such as the new 3.02 firmware. There is no documentation as to what version 3.x or Gen2 brings but i'll try to find out and let you know if I see anything different when I try it. I believe Matt told me there were more test patterns since I believe there is more memory on the Gen2.

Hope this helps, BTW I only help test and do not work for Murideo. Jason Dustal can probably give us more information.

John, open a thread to talk for Murideo, because you are always using CalMAN thread, if you check your post history you have used only CalMAN thread to inform about Murideo.

The new firmware for the G6 non gen 2 that is posted on Murideo download page is not correct, it's ver 2.63 not 2.64. Ver. 2.64 should be posted by 11 am

ss

Update. Still no new firmware 2.64.

Update. This is the link for firmware 2.64. https://www.murideo.com/uploads/5/2/...mware_2.64.zip
