Thanks. Yes, I do follow that thread. And many thanks for your part too!

Obviously I'm a Calman user, so I'm only interested in LS' new "volumetric" approach from an academic approach as it will never be available to me nor form part of my decision. My decision needs to be based on the Four-Color Matrix Method (FCMM) only.

It's also worrying to read about spectros drifting and degrading quickly over time, that makes it even worse!

Ted is only prevented from posting on certain discussion threads, as some people that are involved in those threads do not like his open honesty in reporting issues.

But, he is working very hard on new user guides to help with better LG calibration, and therefore doesn't have time to follow the forums too.

He will return when the new user guides are finished, and are on his website.

I just purchased the LightSpace software, a probe, and a tripod. I am using a projector in a bat cave. I have an Oppo 203, a Lumagen Radiance Pro, and a Sony vpv-vw520es.

How do I start? I am totally green when it comes to doing calibrations. For example, how do I position the probe with respect to the screen?

Hi,

short Question. I have Ted's LightSpace CMS BD1.1 and would like to ask if the Calman 5 Workflows are still available?

Thanks, Ron

Yes they should be, when you purchase Tedd's disc he sends you a zip file with his workflows in.

If you haven't emailed a request for the update, you need to. Light Space does not automatically update itself. A request has to be made each and every time.

You actually use the 'Downloads' page of the website: https://www.lightillusion.com/downloads.html

An automated email reply will be sent with a link.
If you do not see the automated email reply, check you have entered your return emails address correctly, and also check your spam folder.
This is all an automated process, although we do get to see the download requests - so if you let me know the return email address you use we can check it has been received.

Hello,

I'm a new LightSpace user. In probe option, with the Klein k10a, I doesn't see a profile for laser projector.

Does anybody have a calibration file for blue led laser projector as Sony vw870 or vw5000?

Or it's not a need and I choose in the drop menu "blank".

When the jeti is connect, i have no option, is more simple XD.

Regards,
Feel

I don’t own a Klein (not yet, maybe one day) but when your profile a colorimeter to a Spectro then you shouldn’t need a meter preset. Just profile your Klein to your Jeti and you’re good to go.

If I remember LS just pulls the profiles from the Klein. I asked Klein about this when I first got mine and they said they thought they might do one but they couldn't promise anything. I haven't checked to see if they ever created one. You can do that if you want using their s/w but I just use "blank" and then correct with the jeti through LS. I do this each time I use the K10 and make sure I first erase the previous/old LS profiles for both meters. When I ran the K10 corrected against the jeti standalone using the jeti s/w the k10 was spot on correction wise so LS was doing its job very well. I have an 885ES and all this works very well for me with that projector.

As Klein presets are just matrixes and not spectral correction, you can use them in LS to create another matrix with a spectro, as long as you remember what preset you used. Blank presets are just like Klein LCD preset.

So if you own a Jeti, you can create your own correction on your own projector.

So, whatever preset I take, even "blank",it's okay if I do the 4 colors matrix with the jeti as a reference.

little shamy from Klein to do not propose a preset for another things than a display from 90th century... or a bypass

Any preset on any probe is just a little help to those who don’t have a spectroradiometer. When you got one there’s no sense in worrying about presets.
