As you can see something didn't go quite right with the 3DLUT though cause all of Cyan got put at 25%. I was in a bit of a hurry so maybe I didn't set up something right in DisplayCal, I set the white point to 6500 and was able to tweak the gain a bit and got a 'green' good to go on it and confirming with HCFR after the 3DLUT the greyscale looked really good (Gamma set to 2.2 tracked really well also), not sure what happened to the colors.

On Monday night I can send you a spectro correction for your i1d3 for the lk970 taken from my i1pro2.

Spectro corrections are portable between every i1d3 colorimeter.

That would be great, I really appreciate that SirMaster! If you guys get a chance maybe you could take a few screenshots of some of the settings, I would love to compare notes with you guys and I will do the same.

My chain is HTPC (GTX1080) --> Denon 8500H --> Projector and using MadVR in MPC-HC.

I am setting video levels to Full through the chain.

I believe we will also have Full throughout the chain. It was how we set it up previously, before we had the i1 Pro2 to Profile the i1D3.

I find now specifically not the way to calibrate a projector, what must be set in the individual points? Have an i1pro2 synonymous, I can use it directly, or should I use it only for profiling?
it should then be created on bt2020, or dci-p3

Have you executed the tutorial step by step?
Its really simple to do ...

I've only executed it for REC709, so i can't help there
Are you using google translate, by the way ?

So, rec709 was not the problem, but should i change in the settings for a MadVR 3-Lut in BT2020 ...DCI-P3? I find only HDR, but i need SDR and my Progi makes only DCI not nearly BT2020

If you need SDR DCI-p3 then:
- select "madVR SDR profile (D65, BT.709)" profile
- on 3dlut tab select: DCI-P3 D65 + 2.4 gamma + relative + 100% output offset

OK, but why madvr bt709 as a profile if I need dci? next problem is that my sony only in the bt2020 color space changes when an HDR signal is applied. I solved that by setting the madvr pattern generator HDR dci and the SonyHDR on off. so he spends bt2020. with the offset controller do you mean the black controller? Yesterday I created a lut but with the portfolio Madvr HDR but it is darker and the colors were paler than when I select in Madvr calibrated on dci

Because there's no other SDR madvr profile

Err... Do you say that the TV only provides bt709 colorspace in SDR content and there's no other way to switch it to DCI-P3? (e.g. a color space switch?)

Just one more time: you want to use madvr hdr2sdr pixelshader, right? If so, you'll need to use DCI-P3/bt2020 in SDR (!) mode.

E.g. on LG, there's a Color gamut option: Auto, Standard, Wide. Auto switches as you described. But setting it to Wide it can provide DCI-P3 colorspace in SDR mode as well.

Yes, Black output offset. You can read through this post.

Hey guys, I am wondering if anyone can help with creating a 3DLUT for a BenQ LK970, I get odd results with DisplayCal. It has an irregular gamut to begin with so I wonder is there some other detailed settings in DisplayCal to help handle it? I have seen a few people mention concatenation methods which I will try to read more up on but perhaps there is just something I am missing?

I think @Javs mentioned a problem on the Benq LK/HT (??) models, that would made a madVR 3DLUT calibration very difficult ... I might be mistaken though ....

Ya he had the LK990 and there were definitely some limitations and I think his main issue was Brilliant Color. I believe one user Citation444 mentioned he got good results on a 3DLUT but I believe he used Lightspace and concatenation. I have seen @Manni01 talk about concatenation and how DisplayCal can do it in a few clicks, I just am not versed enough in calibration to know what to do exactly.

I agree with you though, from what I have read these LK models are a bit more difficult than the standard Home Theater PJ that covers the 709 gamut thoroughly.

When using madVR 'Tone map HDR using pixel shaders' should I calibrate my projectors Gamma to 2.4 or to BT.2390?
