Meter compatibility with Windows 10

Hi all,

Haven't calibrated and followed calibration for awhile, want to pick it up again but noticed my 'older' meters having problem working with Windows 10, that is, not having driver written for Windows 10. My meters are i1Pro and i1Display Pro.

Can anyone advise how I can sort this out before I get upgrade for my calibration software? Thanks heap.

Hi, the X-Rite i1Display PRO (colorimeter) is a USB 2.0 Full Speed (actually is a USB Low Power Device) using USB human interface device class (USB HID class) interface.

Human Interface Device (HID) drivers contained in Windows, there no other drivers required to be installed.

The X-Rite i1PRO1/2 (spectrophotometer) only requires drivers to install to operate it.

Here you can download i1PRO's drivers: https://displaycalibrations.com/file...RO_Drivers.zip

What calibration software you are using?

Sorry for this very late reply. I am using CALMAN 5 Enthusiast version, any advice on that please?

i1Display PRO don't require any driver installation.

For the i1PRO driver, you can install the driver (go to device manager and locate the i1pro if it has icon with question mark or you see it there as unknown device, select manually the driver pointing the inf file of the zip above), of install the CalMAN Device Driver Pack 2.4

If you have installed any of the X-Rite factory software such as I1 Profiler, you will also need to go into Services and turn off the X-Rite Device Services Manager (right-click This PC then click Manage > Services and Applications > Services) before using CalMAN or other 3rd-party software. The X-Rite Device Services Manager can block access to the meter by those programs...

If you cannot find X-Rite device services in control panel follow instructions below:

Open in the Administrative Tools / Computer Management /

Look for X-Rite Device Services Manager

Double click on that name and a new window will appear

Click the "Quit" button to close the process.

or:

Run "services.msc". At the bottom of the services list, if you see an X-Rite Device Service listed, turn it off.
