Green push, 12.3 beta 2.
Great will test it with the final release.

Now they have to stop the processing (edge enhancements I think) and the atv 4k is a great streaming device.

Am reading this thread with great interest. Separately, has anyone tried the Nvidia Shield with MobileForge as a test generator source?

Just got myself a Panasonic FZ950 OLED, and already got an i1 Pro 2. So keen to dabble into this realm. Will be looking to purchase Calman Home.

Mobile forge is not bit perfect with bit perfect devices. What do you think will be the result with the shield? 😉

For RGB you have maybe a bit perfect pattern generator, your laptop!

Use rgb full on your laptop and on your TV set rgb limited. In calman use 16-235 video levels.

First post updated with this:
06.24.2019 UPDATE: As requested by @ebr9999 I tested RPi PGenerator YCbCr limited output, videoscale set to 0-255. Again, as stated above, the results still prove that RPi is completely bit accurate only with RGB Full output with LightSpace or CalMAN videoscale set to 16-235. But, what is better for you, it depends on your TV RGB ---> YCbCr rounding errors.

Here it is:

Do you have any plans to test with the new RPi4?

The author of PGenerator will need to first verify it works properly with the new model and make any changes necessary, I think.

Interesting that the RPi 4 is out so soon, I thought that wasn't supposed to happen until next year. Glad I waited.

I'm aware. Another thing i am going to look into is if madVR is where it can be used as a universal windows app (or ask them to work on adding that). If it can be made for that, then you just need a windows IoT installation, put madVR on it, then connect through Ethernet to madVR as an excellent pattern generator for SDR and HDR10. You'd still need like a vortex 2 or similar to inject Dolby vision metadata, but that would be something of similar cost to an RPi while doing much of the same functionality. Would still need confirmed on errors from hardware, etc., but is something that would be nice (SDR and HDR10 pattern generator under $70, then add a couple hundred to do Dolby vision).

Unfortunately this would not enable proper DV RGB Tunneled patterns. Adding the DV flag to HDMI doesn't make it a DV Pattern.

I was talking being able to connect the madTPG loaded on it and the integral/vortex with Calman to send the signal. Are you saying that would not be possible?

Otherwise, you would just need R. Masc DV patterns and a proper player for it, cut out the HDfury product, and do slow DV while having SDR and HDR-10 covered (choosing an arm developer board able to output HDR-10 signal and DV, of course).

Exactly... and we’ll need someone with an Accupel or a signal analyzer to test HDR pattern accuracy.

If you use rgb for hdr pattern generation with hdfury , we should be fine if the pgenerator is bit perfect for sdr rgb.
This should also be true for rgb rec.2020 without hdfury on the new device, if it is bit perfect for rgb output.

It should be... but I like "It is" better. That's why an Accupel is needed

FYI, the final "fixes" for the Murideo Six-G are being made to make it 100% bit perfect. We should see the release in the next week or two.

I saw the Seven-G at the VE TV Shootout and what a "breast". Has everything imaginable but at a higher cost. It had a nice feature to measure game mode response while a game was playing in the background vs static image to get the real TV response when it's doing all it's other video processing.

Please remember that "4K" doesn't automatically mean "HDR". For instance, a DVDO AVLab TPG such as Miki and I have is 4K, yet not HDR. An HDFury device is still needed to send metadata.

That's a big "If". So far, none of the online sites have mentioned HDR in their stories on the RPI4. And even if it has it, being able to pass HDR content is a far cry from being able to generate it. I won't get my hopes up.

Yours is not a bad idea. But I’d create one not for me/you to buy a tester but for Riccardo (the creator of RPi PGenerator) to bring his PGenarator to the next level on the PI 4 in the hope that it supports HDR. If it doesn’t, we don’t need it.

I am all for it. Riccardo has done a great job. There is something about Italy and Paypal that Ted briefly mentioned. I brought this up with Riccardo but he wasn't interested. So, if someone can do that for Riccardo, that would be really great.

It does support HDR but a Kernel update is needed.

"The 4B hardware is HDR capable, but software support has a dependency on the new Linux kernel frameworks merged by Intel developers (with help from Team LibreELEC/Kodi) in Linux 5.2 and a kernel bump will be needed to use them. Once the initial excitement and activity from the 4B launch calms down, serious work on HDR and transitioning Raspberry Pi over to the new GBM/V4L2 video pipeline can start."
