I’m an audio guy and screen calibration would not be my strong suit but I do know I have troubles dialing in my projector, too dark - too light. My local tv/theater installer has been doing this for like 20 plus years and claims he can get it without the tools (maybe close but not perfect). Would $100 be acceptable to pay for an alright to pretty good job on my 120” screen, benQ-2050 1080p projector? Is there anybody around the middle of MN that can do a better job?

How would you know that it's close to perfect if he's not measuring? Since accuracy is out of the question, how do you know that the two of you agree on what's pretty good?

I wouldn't pay to have someone guess. I can do that myself for free.

+1 to the comments above: An eyeballing isn't a calibration, so your money's better spent on the S&M disc.
