Unhappy Calman won't talk to Murideo Six-G

Just got myself a Murideo 6-G and after all the setup, my Calman Home Enthusiast ver 5.9.1 shows "COM failed" when try to connect.

My setup as follows:-

Win7 Home Premium SP1 64bits
.NET Framework 4.6
Calman 5.9.1
All Calman driver installed from their driver pack

Installed Murideo driver downloaded from their site

I have tried to change the COM port to higher number like COM 10, COM 14 and change USB port, but still it won't talk.

From Murideo Six-G free software 2.01, the PC can communicate with the 6G where I can change the output resolution and control from the notebook

I have tried uninstall all drivers (incl Calman and Murideo) and Calman then reinstall them but same result, but I notice when install Calman driver pack, Windows prompted that some of the drivers will be running under Windows compatible mode.

What else can I do to let Calman talk to the Murideo?

Upgrade to Win 10 will only be my last resort....

Which firmware version are you running on the Murideo?

Also make sure that the device is not in “4K geometry mode”, Or else CalMAN cannot connect to it.

The Murideo is on fw 3.01

Does the Murideo default in 4k Geometry mode?

I will double confirm that

The new hardware revision of the Murideo with firmware 3.xx Wasn’t supported in CalMAN Until 5.10.1.xxx

It is a new hardware revision that did not exist when CalMAN 5.9.x.x was released.

You might need to contact them and request a previous hardware revision device.

Hi, CalMAN Enthousiast has been discontinued, so you can't buy annual ''all access'' to get the latest CalMAN version which support the Six-G (GEN2) you have bought.

Six-G (GEN1) is bit-perfect only with 2.64 firmware installed (reseeased last month). All previous FW versions don't provide bit-perfect output to all colorspace output options.

If you will stay to your current CalMAN Enthusiast, Tyler has to find out and reply to you which will be the last FW version of GEN1 Six-G which can be confirmed that it will work with your current CalMAN, so to try to find out an older GEN1 unit with that specific FW. You can't downgrade your GEN2 as the hardware is different from GEN1.

Older FW versions are not available to download, you have to contact Murideo for such FW files.

Hi, will Calman 5.9.1 support murideo six G with fw 2.6.4?

If the Gen2 can be loaded with fw 2.6.4, it can work with calman 5.9.1?

The GEN2 has different hardware and its not compatible with 2.x firmware (GEN1 FW).

Gen-3 runs the 3.xx I believe. I would contact Murideo to verify compatibility.
