HCFR vs. DisplayCAL for calibration and measuring

Can someone briefly list the use cases and pros/cons of using HCFR and DisplayCAL for calibrating and measuring a computer monitor or an OLED TV (LG 55C7V)? Which one is preferred in which use case? Or do they both do the same things?

I see both are used and recommended quite a lot. I'll be using X-rite i1display Pro. Both on a Windows 10 and macOS.

For computer monitor calibration DisplayCAL works much better. HCFR is for TVs and projectors conducted to players.

Ok, thanks for a summary. I'll test the options anyway. I read that DisplayCAL is a lot more powerful program than the one X-rite ships with the calibratior.
