Any method using Android?

I have a X-Rite i1 Display Pro and it calibrates my PC monitors wonderfully and my TV when hooked up to a PC, but I'm wondering if there is an equally easy way using an Android device. I have an Nvidia Shield TV.

good speaker brands: Revel, Power Sound Audio (PSA), Ascend, KEF, Emotiva, JBL, Tekton, SVS, Definitive Technoogy (DefTech), Paradigm, MartinLogan, Bowers & Logan, Klipsch (safe V shaped audio).

good subwoofer brands:
Rythmiks, HSU, SVS, PSA, Outlaw

Do you want to use an Android device to calibrate? Or do you want to calibrate your Shield TV which runs android?
For the latter you use your meter with a PC to measure the output of the Shield TV on your TV.

I don't see why this is any different then calibrating your TV when your PC is the output, or I am getting your question wrong.

I do believe he was asking about an Android-based calibration app that uses the device's camera.

What device camera? Sounds to me like he wants to calibrate his TV without having to go his PC up to it.

As I said then, "I believe". That's how I read it. Roku and TCL (for their latest TOTL sets) have apps that do just that, using the camera in the Android device. TCL at first recommended only a single make and model of device, later expanding the list to others. These apps make certain measurements and automatically adjust settings in the Roku or TCL set they are used with. They aren't general calibration tools.

In any case, I know of just one app that will allow the OP to use a meter with an Android device, and that was written by Graeme Gill. See here:

I think he just wants to use mobileforge or lightspace connect. I guess we'll find out when he decides to post again.
