Question Calibration advice - Philips / ColorHCFR

Hi all,

I've recently calibrated my Philips 43PUS7304. The screen isn't great contrast wise due to the IPS panel, however my measured contrast after calibration is only on 581:1.
To me that is low as I read IPS screens usually go up to 1000:1. The delta E's on the greyscale and colors are down to as far as I could get them with my Spyder 3.

What can I do to improve the contrast? Or is this it? I've attached my ColorHCFR file.

Thanks for the suggestions!

You weren't asking this, but IMHO, you have seriously handicapped yourself with your meter choice. A Spyder 3 is now an old meter, very likely drifted over time. In addition, the Spyder series of meters haven't been considered to be all that great even when new.

Yeah, the Spyder3 isn't great. Saving up for a Xrite iDisplay i1 but for now the Spyder3 has to do.
I used AVS HD709 as a disc, that at least is decent

I also wouldn't get too hung up on reported contrast ratios, either. I think you'll find most of those reported by review sites are pre-calibration. It's common for a display to see a drop in contrast ratio after calibration.
