Yes it is. Although I still need to decide whether I will get it on the XBOne or the PS4.

Wow the site is different now.

It's getting worse and worse. Capabilities of the last upgrade seem to have been stripped away. Threads that I'm subscribe to disappear (the little envelope icon grays out and those threads don't show up unless I click "show all subscribed threads".

Has anyone noticed an actual improvement?

That's good. So the new sdk and additional 10% helped.

It's definitely gotten worse. The biggest thing I miss is how it would show a preview of the latest post on the main page. I always used that to determine if I wanted to click on a particular thread.

Same. I'm not sure what the reason was for this change other than behind the scenes reasons. I wonder if they can add the post preview back?

I'm still waiting for them to fix the surround audio from the HDMI input and apps.
He also mentioned the windows 8/Xbox universal apps are on the roadmap. Maybe it's still too far off for them to really talk it up.

Just logged on since the update, and am a bit surprised. I know that the last version was hard to get used to, (I remember when they switched from vbulletin...)but this is going to take some work.
Does anyone know how to get to threads that I posted in, but not sub'd? I used to go directly to my profile page, where I had all the threads that interested me, and posted in. Now, in the User CP, I only see my sub'd threads....

Edit: I know the magnifying glass in the right corner trick, but there is nothing that tells me if the thread is updated, replied....they are also in list form, sometimes showing the same thread over and over, as I replied...not just one thread listed updated with the latest reply.
I also loved the fact that when you clicked on the thread it took you to the last post that you hadn't read...now you have to search and search.

I get that, but I see multiple "Official Xbox One" (as well as others). listings, as it is showing all my posts...not just one listing, showing new activity.

Do we know what Destiny's resolution and frame rate would have been without the additional GPU power?

I just got help from a user to find that also, it's the '>' which is to the right of the username who posted last. Not-intuitive and quite tiny on tablets.

Well I'm officiallty and Xbox One owner. After having the PS4 since launch I have been waiting for a Kinectless One version. I get the best of both worlds now. The Xbox is a great system and I'm having a good time with it.

Every time the XBox One comercial comes on and he says "XBox On" it turns my One on. A couple of time when he has said "Play Titan Fall" the game actually loaded. BUT when I tell it to do stuff it doesn't do it.

I never argue with fools cause from a distance you canÂt tell who is who....

1080p is 44% more pixels than 900p. Probably if they don't have what's necessary to manage 1080p they drop back to 900p.

It's 30fps anyway, so that little bump may have been just enough to avoid any frame drops at 1080p.

I'm just a little concerned they're trading a stable frame rate for a shaky one.

Who said the frame rate is shaky?

They could have been at 1080p and 25fps. Since they couldn't hit 30 they just lowered the resolution. Now they hit 30fps consistently with the new sdk and kinect changes

Because frame rate isn't constant like that. In order to run a solid 30fps, they have to internally run at over 30fps at all times. If there was no v-sync, most 30fps games would run at 35-45fps, depending on what's on screen.

So if they initially chose to run at 900p, it's because 1080p suffered too many drops below 30fps, and they had to drop the resolution by ~30% to meet their target. A 10% bump doesn't close a 30% gap....so something doesn't compute.

Either they were being way too conservative from the start (which means the supposed performance boost isn't primarily responsible for the resolution bump). Or the 10% bump alleviates enough of the frame drops that they're willing to accept those that remain....which means a game with an already shoddy frame rate might be even worse when the action heats up.
