May as well post here instead of starting a new thread.
This may seem like an odd question, but how does one maximize enjoyment of Destiny? I played the beta but left unimpressed and didn't pick it up then. Now, being utterly burned out on The Division, ESO, Diablo 3, Fallout 4, etc. I decided to give it another chance. The strange thing is I'm not sure if I'm having fun playing or if I'm just trudging and grinding in the hope that it will get better.
While I prefer PvE to PvP, I'm finding the whole narrative structure of story missions confusing and aggravating. I think part of it is due to using the level 25 boost on my character which I assume opened things up to that level when I was still on the second quest of the original story. My Warlock is 34 now and a gameplay pattern is emerging that I just can't put time into anymore. Is Destiny's focus endgame and one should just rush to 40? If so, is there enough PvE content to sustain long term play, or is it all farming dailies, doing the same thing every reset to hopefully find a piece of marginally better gear?
