Nope. Other than at night where you have to sneak around to try and avoid the Volatiles, there really isn't too much stealth.

And I completely understand why they release indies, but at the same time we still haven't gotten Driveclub, which was initially promised as a freebie AT LAUNCH. The could at least have given us something like that by now, even if it was stripped down from the main game.

Eventually the free games will get better, I'm just sick of simpleton indie stuff like Thomas Was Alone and Velocity 2X.

^^ even if it was a stripped down version of DC I'm sure the internet would find a reason to complain about the "free" version. I really question how many people want DC to play the game or simply to see Sony fulfill their promise? Knack is a title that I just dont understand why it hasnt been made available in the US at least. JP sales have been stellar but completely dead in the US.

Transistor is a good offering, Thief should've gone cross-buy the rest is a toss up.

I do see Knack as being the first PS4 title available under PS+. Even though I didn't like it, I'd still download it so it could sit on my hard drive for years!

Yes it is. If there's anything that's going to push me into an Xbox it's all of the network outages. PSN has been down so much more in the year and 4 months I've had it than in the 8 years I've had Xbox Live. If PSN was still free, I wouldn't care, but we pay for this.

I just wish Sony would release a Update to allow music from a usb source to be downloaded and played, as well as from a networked pc!

The whole holiday Network outage was b.s. I was off all that week and would of loved to play some PS4! Sony gave us a whole 5 day addon to out PSN accounts.... whoopie....

There network is crap. It's getting real old how often this is happening. They need to spend some money and make some investments to get this to stop.

Yep, I to have experienced more outages in the short life of the PS4 then my entire 9 year run with XBL. This is starting to make me question whether I made the right choice, the PS4 may be more powerful but the XBO seems more stable at this point. I'd consider switching if I'd didn't have so much money invested in the PS4.

I just wish Sony would show some signs that they care about the bad service they are providing, but I get the feeling the don't once your payment has been processed. My sub isn't up until October but, I'll think twice about renewing now. Although, I love The Golf Club and I think it requires a PSN sub so, that will make it hard to not renew.

That's because there are a lot more of these things now than there were even a year ago. Xbox Live got hammered last week. As far as I can tell reading the tea leaves PSN does get impacted a little worse and a little more frequently, but it's not even close to trouble-free on the Xbox side of the fence.

I don't think he's saying XBL is trouble free. I can echo the others in saying that with my 7 years on XBL, I haven't experienced the amount of issues PSN has had this past year. I'm really quite disheartened at the frequency and length of downtime PSN has been subject to. I'd have a fairly different tone if this wasn't a service I was paying for.

I know exactly what you are saying. After the whole Christmas outage mess I seriously started thinking about trading in PS4 for XBONE. Like stated before I don't remember many Xbox Live outages during my 6 or 7 years vs. the seeming frequent PSN outages.

My problem is that I've got so much invested in the PS4 including the digital games that I bought. I could get about $250 for the PS4 traded in to Best Buy but wouldn't be able to get anything for the digital games.

In addition I can't imagine starting over from scratch on Destiny after all the time I've spent leveling up my characters. I'd have to have some sort of Intervention re: my Destiny habit.

I kind of wish they would abandon the free games and just have better deals on sales. I would like to buy Defense Grid 2 but I'm 'afraid' it will go free soon.

I'm saying that in your six years of XBL before this last year, you've had a much more trouble-free experience than in your last year of XBL. It's been pretty bad (probably not as bad) on the Xbox Live side as the PSN side, based on all the GAF threads when there is an outage on either platform, over the last year. See this thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=975290 for a recent example.

For someone who gave up Xbox Live a year ago, they would not realize that it has been pretty bad on that side as well. That's all I'm saying. The last year has been a real ****fest with all of the DDoS attacks and they seem to be getting more frequent, which is discouraging to everyone.

I am on both sides of the fence and yes one side is usually greener than the other. They are mostly green but one does turn brown more than the other.

I usually have trouble with very slow network stuff on update Tuesday with PSN. I have been avoiding using my PS4 during the afternoons on Tuesday.

Yeah, the slow performance is a different matter than robustness in dealing with DDoS infrastructure attacks. PSN performance has always seemed more variable with some people having good performance and others not, consistently. I can only assume that has to do with datacenter locations and/or peering arrangements with major providers to provide more consistently good quality of connections to the network. This is an area where Microsoft does seem to do better than Sony, probably due to owning their own datacenters and actually being in the hosting business themselves. I can't say I have really seen those issues, but I can understand how frustrating it would be for those who do.

I just couldn't switch warts and all. Forget my PSN sub that's got a year or more and forget my digital library, from my limited time with the xbone I can say it doesn't move me in my funny place I'm a visual person; need sharp pictures and the xbox felt very subpar visually...to me...and if I was to ditch the PS I'd ditch consoles altogether and just go PC again. The PS4 moves me on graphics so like a big screen, you can't go smaller.

For my house a $35 Chromecast would make more sense than a cable ready xbone or the PS that gets network bombed. Plus the Chromecast does Playon and Netflix. So there's that too.

Just because you don't notice a difference doesn't mean there isn't one.

I know that the removed the edge enhancer from the scaler in the One, but is contrast boosting still an issue on upscaled games? That would ruin it for me.

They seemed to me to be doing monthly updates instead of every Tuesday like they were doing. That was great, when they were doing more updates, but at least for the PS4, I don't think they have enough games to rotate that many through. I'll have to check on what's new tonight.

I haven't noticed the server outages lately, but the PS4 probably doesn't get played as much as the Wii U around here.

I kinda liked Knack. I know it's not a "great" game (it can be a tad repetitive), but not bad for an early game. Early system games are often a bit lacking.

Super crushed blacks for one. Did not know what that even was until I got an xbone and experienced it. Screen tearing in TF. I thought the days of screen tearing were long over when we dropped last gen. In fact that's the best way I can describe my experience, the xbone seems like an upgraded 360.

I'd liken this to the 30 frame vs 60 frame debate. If you don't see a difference you won't care but once you see a difference you can't go back....but some products do lesser better and make it seem like more than it is. The xbone is exactly what it is and not more.

Speaking of 30 vs 60 I cannot wait for Project Cars! I'm looking forward to seeing what Driveclub at 30 looks like compared to PCars at 60. I wonder if it will be as noticeable as Destiny was against every other shooter (COD, BF, KZ)

Edit: I'm not going to budget up buying two consoles, two subs, and two copies of every 3rd party game to compare. I buy a console and a game I'm interested in and if that game doesn't make that console shine... Last gen it was Resistance on the PS3 that turned me off. The xbone may well develop into something good like the PS3 did but its got a ways to go like the PS3 did.

More rumors about an upcoming PS4 redesign that would support 4K output:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/johnarch...dicts-netflix/

I imagine that even if this happens, it'll be a long time before we see 4k games. Near term, it'll probably just be for watching 4k video.

Black crush isn't a problem anymore. I can tell you haven't played the one for a while. 2nd, watch dogs on the ps4 has screen tearing. TF was almost a launch title so I won't hold that against them too much. Almost every single multiplatform games coming out now looks identical to each console. Drive club is super trash. Had the game for a while and it doesn't hold a candle to forza 5 or forza horizon 2. I'll give you that the launch titles looked a lot better on the ps4, but now this isn't the case. As far as the 30 vs 60 frames it doesn't apply because no games are this different yet. Not to mention that PSN is down every 3 days. I've rented every single sports game on both consoles I noticed zero difference.
