Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered

http://www.idigitaltimes.com/call-du...oftware-530984

It looks like it is finally happening. I have waited years to play COD4 on a current system. I played the multiplayer of that game more than any before or since, and can't wait to jump back into those classic maps. I don't even care that I have to purchase the latest version (Infinite Warfare) just for the opportunity. I am a happy man...

Here's the price points for those interested and a bit of a downer on the MW MP maps:

Quote:
Activision has revealed the following editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare so far:
  • Legacy Edition and Digital Legacy Edition: Includes both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered -- SRP $79.99.
  • Digital Deluxe Edition: Includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and Season Pass -- SRP $99.99.
  • Legacy Pro Edition: Includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Season Pass, collectible steelbook, official game soundtrack and additional digital items -- SRP $119.99.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's Legacy Edition will include a "true high-definition" remaster of 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is being executive produced by Infinity Ward and developed by Raven, which has provided support on previous entries in the series. It will include the full Modern Warfare campaign and ten multiplayer maps with enhanced textures, physically based rendering, high-dynamic range lighting, and "much more." Confirmed maps so far include Crash, Backlot, and Crossfire.
So it only ships with 10 of the original's 20 MP maps (16 original, 4 DLC). Also what are the chances that Raven screws up the porting of the sublime weapons handling physics? Also will quickscoping with the sniper rifles be tweaked or left as is? Does the netcode remain as peer-to-peer or do they change to client-server?

I played a junk load of MW MP back in the day as well and this Remaster definitely intrigues me, but I can still see a few tripping points where the port to Xbone & Piss4 ends up missing the mark.

i own modern warfare on ps3. The online is quite fun yet fewer people play online. No need to double down since I already have the game. Question...will my stats carry over to the ps4 version from ps3? add me kascnef82.

I get the feeling it will probably be on a different server.

I’m pretty stoked about it, I just hope that the faster pace as well advanced physics and movement speed of the newer COD games hasn’t left me wanting more from the older COD titles.

I usually buy the $100 version that includes the season pass, so to get this included on top of that is welcomed, even with only 10 maps.

I hope Infinite Warfare is great as well.

I am buying the 80 dollar game.

Downloading COD4 then dumping Infinite Warfare. COD has been garbage but being able to play a hack free MW on the PS4/One has me super excited!!!!!

While I enjoyed the BF1 beta, this will be my main shooter for the next year. I'm gonna buy the Legacy Edition just for the Modern Warfare Remastered code and immediately trade in Infinite Warfare to recoup as much of the purchase price as possible.

Same here. I've been watching some of the multiplayer gameplay videos, and it looks & sounds like they really did just stick to improving the visuals and server connectivity. I can't believe they actually did it. I have limited gaming time these days, but every bit of it will be spent playing this game if it holds true to the original.

Has anyone been playing this? I understand there has been a beta or early access since the 5th for people who preordered.

Single player campaign is available. Pretty nostalgic playing as Soap again. Everything sounds so familiar, but it looks quite a bit better.

Didn't think I'd ever buy another COD, but I couldn't resist playing MW again.

Does the game feel the same (excluding the graphics upgrades)? I'm worried they may have changed some of the mechanics.

The Beta was ok; not great IMO. Got this one strictly for MW remastered. It feels the same, and the graphics are sharpened up significantly.

Probably my last Infinity Ward COD. The futuristic themes with all the jumping around and wall running aren't my cup of tea. Seems to be closer to Halo now than COD.

I'm hoping they release MWR standalone. I'll pay $60 for it if there is a large populace on it.

That would be nice if they release it as a standalone, but they need to make their money from this current craptastic game, so I don't see them breaking it apart for several months.

I'd say they'd have to wait several months, because people like me who bought the legacy edition just for it would have major heartburn.

I could see it being a Playstation Plus offering in 6-12 months.

I thought the new one was pretty horrible in the beta this past weekend. Think I'd rather play MW remastered. I'll probably go with BF1 or TF2 though. I don't have time for both, so waiting for reviews of TF2.

Getting ready for the jump into full-on theater build

I may never play the IW multiplayer (the Beta was crap), but the campaign looks really good. I figure $64 (after Amazon Prime pre-order discount) isn't bad for MWR multiplayer / campaign (just finished it again) and IW campaign.

I just bought it. For MWR, is the multiplayer file the 14GB one? Or do I have to let the entire 56GB DL before I jump online? I chose to play online first when it asked.

When its done I might jump on later tonight. If you like playing tdm, kill confirmed, or domination. Add me.

psn = b2real

just add avs in the message
