Zelda Twilight Princess HD

I'm surprised no one has posted here about the new version. I read a couple of fairly favorable reviews (Washington Post, Wired) and finally decided to take the plunge.

I never finished the original version. I got stuck following the wagons through the field when I couldn't aim the Wiimote correctly to shoot arrows at the bad guys.

Anyway, I hardly use the Wii U anymore (switched over to PS4 due to the dearth of games coming out for Wii U), but I downloaded Twilight Princess, and like the new version so far. They did a good job upconverting, and the beauty of the graphics now shines through. Gameplay functionality is very smooth. I don't miss the Wiimote yet, but I haven't gotten very far in the game yet. So far, using the gamepad works very well.

My thoughts - about the new HD version or the game in general? As I've continued to play the HD version, my original thoughts haven't changed. The upgraded graphics are beautiful and the gameplay seems about the same (except without the Wiimote).

I've been playing Zelda/Link games since the original on the NES. Twilight Princess is far from my favorite. My favorite was actually Skyward Sword, which a lot of fans didn't like.

Twilight Princess is alright, but the some parts are just boring.

I have some issues with the "graphical" enhancements, but still a great game.

I was glad that I sat out on the original when the HD version came out. It looks amazing.

Need to pick this up for the wife. She's always into the Zeldas. Glad to hear the HD treatment is a good one and not an afterthought.

To be fully honest, this conversion is really all about the removal of the 'vasoline' filter of the original... Twilight Princess is GORGEOUS game, the visuals definitely shine with the up-res they got in this version.

And the lack of rupee messages... thank you, thank you, thank you!
Spoiler!

Anyone go for this yesterday when Wal-Mart had it for $25? Perfect price if you've played this before in the GCN or Wii, and the deal I've been waiting for.
