Using AV receiver to switch HDMI

I am not sure if this is the correct forum.

I have a
Yamaha RX-V677
Mitsubishi WD-92840 92" 1080P

I am using the Receiver to switch the following items

xfinity cable box
firestick
PS3
Xbox

This all seems to work fine.
I tried to hookup the Wii using the Wii2HDMI adapter.

When I switch it through the receiver it pushes the image to the right. I hooked it directly to the TV and it doesn't push the image to the right. I switched up the cables and port that is used for the PS3 and it still has this issue.

I feel like I have ruled out the cables and a bad port on the receiver.

I have not run a firmware update on the receiver because I have heard horror stories. I can do that if it may help but everything else seems to switch fine.

I understand this converter is cheap and comes from Hong Kong but it does work when not switched through the receiver.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Bill

If you got the WiiStar model, it (apparently) requires a direct connection, and can’t be used through a switch or receiver:

Maybe I misread that link you posted, but it seems to indicate that the KCOOL adapter is the one that must be used directly. I didn't see anything about Wiistar needing that. Maybe the OP has a defective one?

How far to the right? Like, halfway off the screen or just a little bit? Most consoles have an adjustment to center the image, but it will only work if it's just a little off. Honestly, I can't understand why a direct connection would be any different than plugging into a receiver. Maybe make sure your video processing is off (pass through), or if it's off, try and turn it on?

Its about a 1/5 or 1/6th of the screen. Its more than the adjustment can fix.

I bought the adapter from ebay. It only took several weeks to get here. lol
