I haven't seen a good one in quite a while now.

Even worse in the past year or two with the tsunami of total crap games that are on Steam now.

The doom discount is really the only standout.

Steam sales are largely "meh" now a days. With "isthereanydeal.com" and other such sites you can almost always find whatever game you want for sale, with a Steam key, and those prices usually go for less than what you get during a Steam sale.

I generally don't look at a game unless it's at least 75% off or under $10 during Steam sales. Problem this sale is there's a couple dozen of those on my wishlist this sale, but I don't REALLY care about playing them. I'm interested sure, but maybe not THAT interested.

It's weird though....I used to spend like $100-200 every summer. Now I spend $0. I can't be the only one who's spending on the sales has dropped so precipitously that it hasn't had a huge effect.

This is sadly true. I've seen too many cellphone ports as well. If it's playable on my phone I would rather not see that on steam. It gets in the way if finding something worh a damn.

We bought the Disney Mega pack for our son and then refunded within an hour, don't bother. The Pixar games appear to be mobile to pc games. A couple of the games would not even start (Tron 2.0 and I don't recall the other). Pure does not like 16:9 and looks like it just takes 4:3 and stretches it (aside form that Nail'd is a little over a buck and that runs better, it's a fast twitch racer, basically Pure 2).

Have yet to see anything jump out at me but I'll keep looking...

I do not know if this is an error (and many here probably already have at least one of these games) but Steam is showing a combo pack of Just Cause 3 + Rise of the Tomb Raider for $22.49.

Which makes little sense since each games sale price is higher than the combo price, but...

* It's an error.

lol, sorry.

Now what I think I am seeing is an adjusted sale price based upon the fact that I already have RotTR, it appears we can get the combo discount even if we already own one of the games (so I can buy Just Cause 3 for $22.49).

I've got the same thing. I bought RotTR off CDkeys (Steam key) because it had 3 DLC packs and still a couple bucks cheaper than the summer sale. I'm showing the same extra discount on Just Cause 3 bundle.... tempting.

Also with the Witcher trilogy... I previously bought the second game, and this Summer sale is showing me the trilogy as buying the first game "Director's Cut" PLUS Witcher III: Wild Hunt for cheaper ($23.83) than the third game alone ($25)! So it's like buying Wild Hunt at an extra discount and also getting a free game.

Couldn't pass that up, even if I burned out on Witcher III on console.

Check the price - if JC3 is in your Steam library, then the bundle should give you an extra discount on RotTR. At least it works the other way around for me.

btw, how is JC3..? I'm hearing it's crash-prone, or at least was.

I uninstalled it since it was giving me some issues and taking a huge chunk of space on my ssd. I put Doom on instead. I'll probably wait longer for RotTR to go lower. I'm not in that big of a fish to play it since I have it on my Xbox one.

Picked up Warhammer 40K Space Marine collection for 14.99 and remember me for 4.99

I'm almost to my stopping point. So far each game has been on my wishlist, so that is good!

Remember Me was a fantastic game. The soundtrack is very good, the voice acting is great, the environment in game with its textures and lighting very cool. The gameplay (combat) mechanics could use some reworking. Overall 9/10 for my rating although I am extremely bias to games in this genre (cyberpunk/futuristic) e.g. Deus Ex as soon as that comes out can't wait for it day-one!

Started this game and liking it so far. THough I think I'll switch to an Xbox Controller since I think it will feel better than a mouse and keyboard. I also think the the POV needs adjusting since I feel like I am to close to the character at times. Seems like it should have a further POV.

Great little game! It's sorta like if you could make a game out of the movie, "Butterfly Effect"...and smash it up with Nier (from Yonah's tale), Time Machine, a Darker version of Wizard of Oz, or Alice without the Wonderland. You'll have fun with that one. I'm waiting for only one game, "Rise of the Tomb Raider", to hit $14.99-$19.99 in this sale. Even though I've toyed with Ryse-Son of Rome through several sales since the game released. It's on my Wish List. But those negative reviews about repetitive gameplay always seem to keep me away in the end. If it hits $2.99 this time around though, I'll bite.

Yeah, I think we are going to have to wait for the Winter Sale for the deeper discounts on the big semi-recent games. I'm holding off on Far Cry 4 and Primal for now.

After finally beating Doom and that tough end boss, glad to dive back into Witcher 3... doing all the stuff I did before on console, but might play less as a nice guy and more like the Witcher of lore. And it looks and plays fantastic on the GTX1070! Hoping for a discount on the Season Pass.
