GreedFall

Got about 3 hours into the game tonight and have totally loved it. Graphics are gorgeous and the game play smooth as can be. In the 3 hours I played, I finally got through the prologue. Only grip is the movement felt a little clunky at first, but the fighting was spot on. Looking forward to exploring Teer Fradee now that I am off of the Continent!

Wow! I'm all over this one Arutha. It looks awesome. Looks sorta like a cross between Fable 2, Witcher and Kingdom of Amalur (one of my all time favorites). This is most definitely #1 on my 'next buy' list. If the RPG story & experience flows like Mass Effect and KOA...this is a home run. I had not even heard of it until your post!

Just based on your pictures, I would say AC and Fable. I watched about a minute of a fight vid. Nothing jumping at me, but I'll give it another look. Historical settings don't hit my bells, I guess that's why my interest is low. I love a good action RPG though.

Feels like Witcher so far. I like the fact that you can stop the battle to queue up your next move. I'll experiment with that more on the training grounds (you can do that, at the outpost). You can have two people in your party and the choices you make during the quests will effect the the relationships with them. So far mine have been good, but I can see how it can go bad. One quest had me going into that Nauts area to change the ship manifest log. I at first just went into the place by mistake without paying attention and got a -1 rep with the Nauts since I was "not part of them". I reloaded and fixed that

@Yrd the historical settings does it for m (History major) so it is interesting seeing the Dynamics between the various parties and getting to know the details. This has already greatly influenced my decisions on who I am helping. There is a Church State figurehead that wants to convert everyone and I am at odds with that mentality so I decided not to help them with that quest and just ignored it.

One thing to note make sure you do everything you want before getting on the ship. Once setting on the ship and sailing there is no going back to the mainland. With that said I was not sure if I had completed a quest line or ever went back to get the reward

You do also get a chance to tweak your character one time before leaving. I first went with Magic to start with, but now have switched it to Fighter, then adding Stasis spell. Will see how that works. I also went from Keyboard and Mouse to the controller. I feel the game plays better for me for this style with a controller the a k/m combination. Your mileage will vary on that. Mostly did the switch since the game was not picking up the buttons on my Roccat to map near my thumb which would work great for a secondary attack!

Holy crap it gets easy adding quests quickly once you hit Teer Fradee! This could be a huge problem for me *Stay on Target... Stay on Target*. Game really opens up as well. The more I explore the more I am falling in love with this setting and time period for the game. I think this game is going to force me to not worry about what happens when I make a choice and just go with what I think is right. In the end I am sure I am going to piss off some faction or another or party member. I'm also going to be picking talents all over the place and not focusing them on specific ones. I get the feeling I will be a jack of all trades!

I'm definitely on to this one over the weekend. That highlighted part right there swung me "bigly" over the top. That is in fact my favorite feature of Action RPG's. The more quest the merrier. I literally try to finish them all before moving on to the next chapter, or end of game. I just love gaining as much game experience as possible. It always makes the big boss battles easier and less intimidating to me. I tend to be a very patient and deliberate gamer. I like just soaking in the experience and excitement (on pace) in immersive games like this. Maybe that is the reason I abhor multi-player game experiences. Great comment Arutha.

Hopefully the game meets your expectations. It's been hitting mine just fine. There are some minor problems, but nothing that I can't live with.

Inventory management could be better (no option to set as junk from what I see). Cosmetically your character does not show the weapons holstered but the NPCs do. Assets are recycled in the city for buildings. Not a huge developer so I imagine they couldn't go all out.

Sorry folks, dropped the ball this weekend. 4 day weekend for me and barely got much gaming in in. Managed one hour in Greedfall . Was hoping to put 8 hours into it. Got tied up taking some stuff in the PC and not feeling good. Hopefully will get back to the game tonight and this weekend

10 hours into the game and the quests are piling up. Game is still fun to play and fun to explore the island. Switched to the controller for this game and like how it plays for me.

It's my first time to hear about Greedfall. Looks like Assassin's Creed in the Medieval Age. Gonna look for this game as well. Keep us posted please

Not quite like assassin's Creed (no assassination kills that I have experienced). Lots of exploration so far. Nice dialogue, a main character that talks is a nice bonus (where was that in Destiny!)
