I've got a BDT-110 and I've streamed Atmos fine to my Onkyo 646. Have you tried a different HDMI cable? If you can bit-stream TrueHD then you can bit-stream Atmos.

310 network issue

Hi, can't get the pana to connect to the network. I tried quick network setup, manual config, (which the unit will not hold, ip address and subnet mask go away even though I tell it to save) and DHCP. It is a wired network and I know the cable is good because if I connect my laptop to that cable I have network connectivity (yes, the wifi on the notebook is off).

The pana keeps telling me there is no cable connected. Sounds like the interface or network circuits are gone. It worked fine when new. Any ideas? TIA

Have you tried re-booting your router with the Panny connected?

Hi everyone, new here

I've just bought a new BDT 110 from eBay so that I can play my blur ray backups that have cinivia. Looking through this gigantic thread I can see that most people have said the X10 series will never get cinivia. Is it definitely ok for me to update to firmware 1.92 when I receive the player?

Thanks

Can BTD110 stream from a Mac?

I use a BTD110 for streaming (Netflix) with my living room TV. It is connected via ethernet to my wireless router as is my Mac Mini computer (and a 2010 Apple TV-2 for streaming Netflix to the bedroom TV).

Can I somehow access my Mac Mini's screen to watch streaming sourced from it thru the BTD110? I tried looking around in the BTD110's settings and can't find a way to add or access my Mac as a network source (not sure if that is what I'm looking for??).

I just figured out how to use Airplay with the Apple TV-2 for the bedroom. )
I hope there is a way to stream from my Mac Mini (or MB Air) thru the BDT110 for the living room.

Only if the Mac has an open way to share files, e.g. DLNA. This is not something Apple has been known for in many, many years. That's all I can think.

Your best bet might be another Apple TV. :}

You're talking about streaming from Mac to the BDT110. The OP is talking about streaming from the BDT110 to the Mac. That will never happen, even with an Apple TV.

Actually this 'is' what I am looking to do. Stream web content from Mac > BDT110 > TV. Seems this is a no go.
I may just swap my hocky puck Apple TV-2 from bedroom to living room as needed, or just use the BR TV for this option.

Big thanks guys! )

Not true at all.

You can install Serviio:
http://www.serviio.org/

And Plex even has a DLNA port too:

Lightbulb Hack to connect to different Viera Servers

Hi everyone.
I wonder if anyone ever succeeded in connecting a BDT210 to another Viera server and thus, having access to other apps.
My Viera configuration only allows me to choose UK/IR, and when I do, I see different apps.
So, this means that if I could hack this configuration, potentially I could see other apps.
(probably not all would work, but it would be fun to try - even Netflix probably coming from the USA).

Anyone ever went this direction, tried something like this, etc, etc?
I just bought this device after researching a lot, but actually it is a bit of a disappointment as I was looking for a Netflix streamer - which according to many review this device could do - but unfortunately, I failed to make sure that the exact UK/IR model was Netflix compatible - which obviously it is not at least for European Netflix.

Anyway, long story short, it would be fun to see if there are other apps (like for, example, screen mirroring aka Chromecast) and so forth which can be a workaround...

Come on, guys...someone must know something!

I've been enjoying my Panasonic DMP-BDT110 for a few years now, but recently it has stopped playing any discs. More specifically, the menu screen works fine, and it will play any DVD or Blu-Ray I put in it. I will only heard the audio, but I do not get any video. I've tried troubleshooting it, and if it connected directly to my TV (Panasonic GT30) I will get some video as displayed in the screen capture below. This is also what happens when I use Netflix or Amazon Prime (as seen below). I've checked for any setting that might be messed up, but couldn't find anything that would correct this problem. I've tried different cables, different movies, different HDMI ports, and checked for firmware updates; all to know avail.

Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone had any success finding a resolution? Thanks in advance.

JasonMK,
1. Maybe "Restore Default Settings" in the Settings menu area; pages 33-35 in Owners Manual.
2. Try connecting the player to a different TV to help narrow down the problem to player vs TV?

I don't know why it worked, but restoring the default settings fixed it. Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't changed a setting on the Blu-Ray player in years, but somehow one (or more) got changed and made a mess of things. Which is odd, because I went through each setting and verified that they were as they ought to have been. I'm glad it was a simple and free fix. Thanks.

Cool - glad it worked for you. I would not have guessed that restoring to the default settings would be the real solution, but it seemed to be the only thing left to try. Any idea what settings "error" caused the video problem?

Buy a Roku, it'll work much better. Netflix on a bluray player is too slow.

I concur, apps on these old players get slow and antiquated, no longer updated, etc.

As an alternative to a Roku, the Apple TV is superb.

A value option is the Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra, you initiate playback with a mobile device or tablet, and then “cast” to the Chromecast. Can also play music or videos initiated from a Google Home smart speaker (has voice-operated Google Assistant on it).

Sue is this 310 from the USA? If I recall correctly the USA units were the only ones that came with the Netflix app.

USB video playback

I know this thread is 2 years old, but I have a question about USB playback. I have the 210 and the 310. The 310 will display all of my video files I have on my USB flash drive and play them. The 210 however will only show 20 pages of files. I have a 128gb flash drive with about 160 pages of files that display on the 310, but only 20 on the 210. Has anyone else had an issue with this?
Thanks.

Jay...you're just a tad off. This thread was started in March 2011 Sorry about that. I still have my 210 in the bedroom, but have not used it in quite some time, and have never tried using a USB on it.
